LUKE 6:35
35) But love ye you enemies,
and, do good, and lend,
hoping for nothing again; and
your reward shall be great,
and ye shall be the children
of the highest; for he is kind
unto the unthankful and the
evil
THE PROHIBITION OF
INTEREST
HOPING FOR NOTHING
AGAIN- Either principal or
interest is never to be
expected again, as a
command for acts of mercy
to holding charitable hands,
lend not to your friends only,
but to the poor and the
needy.
*That the believer should
not dash the hope of men, by
sending them away without
lending to them, those who
come with expectation to be
relieved
*If we lend we find the
circumstances to lend him
for his needs such quantity
of money or goods as we can
spared, and we can well
enough bear the loss, we
should not fear for act of
charity
AND YOUR REWARD SHALL
BE GREAT
*What the believer suffers
in the quest to show mercy
on the needy on earth will be
restored, he will receive well
beyond what he has lost, he
will receive an enormous
reward for having obeyed the
LORD and for having
sacrificed in order to meet
the needs of a dying world.
*The believer shall receive
both eternal life and an
inheritance for having
obeyed JESUS CHRIST and
have served so sacrificially
while on earth, the believer
have part in the glorious
work of GOD that will be
performed on earth and
heaven, a work that will go
from glory to glory
HE SHALL BE THE CHILDREN
OF THE MOST HIGH
That is he shall be acting as a
child of GOD, with the
privilege of demonstrating
and showing mercy, being
merciful, from the principle
of grace, with a view of such
act of kindness and
generosity to the poor.
*He shall be, made manifest,
and declared to be children
of GOD; since he will be
made partakers of the divine
nature and bear resemblance
of him.

38)Give, and it shall be given
unto you; good measures,
pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over,
shall men give into your
bosom, for with the same
measure that ye mete withal
it shall be measured to you
again
GIVE AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN
UNTO YOU- Give liberally of
your worldly substance to
poverty-stricken persons, as
you have an opportunity,
according to your ability, and
as the case requires and
shall be returned again to
great advantage; with great
reward, either in temporal or
spirituals
*This is a form of mercy,
giving as constant habit, and
therefore a generous nature,
good generous nature; which
is man given and recompense
with what the generous giver
will be rewarded
Good measure, pressed
down, and shaken together,
and running over, shall men
give into your bosom
*So as that which is
promised, is plentiful reward
to charitable and merciful
actions, either from the hand
of GOD more immediately,
GOD stirring up others to be
kind to us as we are to
others; or immediately,
himself blessing us by his
unexpected God-given
abundance
*He measured, with
measure pressed down; and
therefore they measured to
him, with measure pressed
down.
Some of their measures they
heaped, and some they did
not
*The grand characteristic
feature of the society of his
followers must be generosity.
LUKE 3:11
11)He answereth and saith
unto them, he that hath two
coats, let him impart to him
that hath none; and he that
hath meat, let him do
likewise
HE THAT HATH TWO COATS
The believer is to love and
care enough to share his
material goods with those
who were in need, John
mention clothing and food,
the basic necessity of life, the
giving which is to be
sacrificial .
*Aid the poor according to
your ability, be benevolent
and show that your
repentance is real
*The giver was to love and
care so much that he will be
gripped of mercy and
compassion and give what he
had. Such fruit would be
evidence of repentance, of
life truly changed, of a man
who truly seeks GOD
THE NATURE OF RELIGION IS
TO DO GOOD
John answered that
ceremonial observances, nor
strict exercise of religion, but
upon acts of charity
This requires self-denial, and
none will deny themselves
who are not attached to GOD.
LUKE 11:41
41)But rather give alms of
such things as ye have; and,
behold, all things are clean
unto you
BUT RATHER GIVE ALMS OF
SUCH THINGS AS YE HAVE
ALMS- Give that which you
have, your property,
amassed wealth, money or
goods, which is yours, which
is given to you according to
man’s ability by giving to the
needy/poor
*The giving from one’s heart
cleanses everything, JESUS
said give what is inside the
dish to the poor, that is that
thing that a man has which
he can give in his heart.
*If he gives his heart to GOD,
he will be giving instead of
taking, giving to GOD and
giving to men, by giving all, it
demonstrates that he is clean
within
ACCORDING TO YOUR
ABILITY,
instead of your extortion,
fraud, stealing, murder to get
rich, oppression of the poor,
injustice, which hindered you
so that you could not to be
clean towards GOD, use
charity/alms according to
your ability to do good to the
poor and it will be sanctified
AND BEHOLD, ALL THINGS
ARE CLEAN UNTO YOU
Let them do one single
loving, unselfish act, not for
the sake of the action itself,
but out of pure good will
towards the poor.
By doing this will show that
you are true, and repentant
and no longer be smitten due
to hoarding unjust gains.
LUKE 12:33
33)Sell that ye have, and
give alms; provide yourselves
bags which wax not old a
treasure in heavens that
faileth not, where no thief
approacheth, neither moth
corrupted
SELL THAT YE HAVE
Believer must be sacrificial in
providing for the ravaging
world of poverty, to help the
poor- JESUS said, sell your
property, exchange it for that
which you can use in
distributing to the poor, this
is the condition of being a
disciple, they gave up their
property; they forsook it, or
they put in common stock,
for the sake of giving alms to
the poor
THE DISCIPLE SOLD THEIR
POSSESSION AND GIVE TO
THE POOR
ACT 2:44-45
44)And all that believed
were together, and had all
things common
45)And sold their
possessions and goods, and
parted them to all men, as
every man had need
BAG WHICH WAX NOT OLD
GOD gives treasures that do
not age, fail, nor corrupt
neither can it be stolen, what
JESUS said is revolutionary;
Sell your possessions, and
give to the poor, once our
needs have been met, we do
not need more, we can do
nothing more than to:
Unless we waste it
Unless we store it up,
which is not useful to the
kingdom of GOD and is not a
treasure in the kingdom of
heaven.
We live in a world so full of
needs, a world lost and
dying, once we have met our
needs, we are to give what
left to meet the need of
others, by so doing the
believer is secured of GOD’s
treasure in heaven and sure
of a won soul in heaven
The treasure will never fail
nor corrupt nor stolen, every
thing on this earth ages, fails,
corrupt and can be stolen,
but the man who uses only
what he needs and then
gives the rest fill his bag with
real money and real treasure,
money and treasures that
shall:
*Never age
*Never fail
*Never corrupt
*never be stolen
JESUS WARNED ABOUT
TREASURE
Their hearts would be where
their treasure is, if their
treasure is in the world, if
they live extravagant lives,
their heart will be in the
world.

11)For whosoever exalteth
humbleth himself shall be
exalted himself shall be
abased; and he that
12)Then said he also to him
that bade him, when thou
makest a dinner or a supper,
call not thy friends, nor thy
brethren, neither thy
kinsmen, nor thy rich
neighbors; lest they also bid
thee again and a recompense
be made thee
13)But when thou makest a
feast, call the poor, the
maimed the lame, the blind
14)And thou shalt be
blessed; for they cannot
recompensed thee for thou
shalt be recompensed at the
resurrection of the just
SERVICE OF THE
NEEDY/POOR- call not thy
friends, JESUS CHRIST said
when thou make a dinner,
supper or any entertainment
at the time or day Sabbath,
call not your friends reprove
those who sought the society
of the wealthy, particularly
rich relatives, and those who
claimed to be intimate with
the great and honorable.
*JESUS command charity
shown to the poor, that such
dining ought not to neglect
poor friends, poor brethren,
poor kinsmen and poor
neighbors, who can not
return the obligation
HUMILITY TO SERVE THE
POOR AND NEEDY
Humility is not serving or
centering one’s life around
those who can repay you,
JESUS CHRIST- says if you
arrange dinner, supper and
lunch in favor of those you
expect repayment, then the
person has received his
reward, he will receive their
favors, he will be left with
human favor.
*JESUS said that the host
had not shown humility and
lowliness of mind, the giving
of himself and his goods to
those who really needed his
gifts and service, he had not
humbled himself to help
anyone who really needed
help
*Humility is serving those
who are needy and cannot
repay, now, if a man serves
the poor, the maimed, the
lame, the blind- That man
demonstrates humility, his
motive is pure; he has a lowly
Spirit, a spirit willing to get
down with the needy and
help him.
*By the Host JESUS means
any man who is able to help
others because he has the
health, position, or finance,
when he gives himself and
his goods to help those who
need help, he is
demonstrating humility.
*Man lives in world full of
desperation needs;
therefore, a man should live
being kind and giving
generously and should not be
giving and expecting back,
but rather to help encourage
and to build others up
THE HUMILITY AND THE
SERVICE TO POOR- REWARD
Humility shall be rewarded –
A Humble person is a
just and righteous
person, a person who
does what is right
A humble person
shall be raised from
the dead to live
eternally with all the
others.
