EXODUS 3:9-10
THE CALL OF MOSES AND
THE CONFRONTATION OF
PHARAOH
THE COMMISSION OF
MOSES AS DELIVERER OF
GOD’S PEOPLE
(9) Now therefore, behold,
the cry of the children of
Israel is come unto me; and I
have also seen the
oppression wherewith the
Egyptians oppress them
(10) Come now therefore,
and I will send thee unto
Pharaoh, that thou bring
forth my people the children
of Israel out of Egypt
(11) And Moses said unto
GOD, who am I, that I should
go unto Pharaoh, and that I
should bring forth the
children of Israel out of
Egypt?
(12) And he said, certainly I
will be with thee; that I have
sent thee: when thou hast
brought forth the people out
of Egypt, ye shall serve GOD
upon this mountain

EXODUS 2:23-25
23) And it came to pass in
process of time, that the King
of Egypt died; and the
children of Israel sighed by
reason of the bondage and
they cried, and their cry came
up unto GOD by reason of the
bondage
24) And God heard their
groaning, and GOD
remembered his covenant
with Abraham, with Isaac,
and with Jacob
25) And GOD looked upon
the children of Israel, and
GOD had respect unto them

11) And the LORD said to
Samuel, Behold, I will do a
thing in Israel, at which both
the ears of every one that
heareth it shall tingle
12) In that day I will perform
against Eli all things which I
have spoken concerning his

GOD unto Eli, and said unto
him, Thus saith the LORD, did
I plainly appear unto the
house of thy father, when

house; when I begin, I will
also make and end
13) For I have told him that I
will judge his house for ever
for the iniquity which he
knoweth because his sons
made themselves vile and he
restrained them not
14) And therefore I have
sworn unto the house of Eli,
that the iniquity of Elis’s
house shall not be purged
with sacrifice nor offering for
ever
15) And Samuel lay until the
morning, and opened the
doors of the house of the
LORD, and Samuel feared to
show Eli the Vision
16) Then Eli called Samuel,
my son, And he answered,

1 SAMUEL 4: 10-11
10) And the Philistines
fought, and Israel was
smitten, and they fled every
man into his tent; and there
was a very great slaughter;
for there fell of Israel thirty
thousand footmen
11)And the ark of GOD was
taken; and the two sons of Eli
Hophni and Phinehas, were
slain
they were in Egypt in
Pharaoh’s house?
28) And did I choose him out
of all tribes of Israel to be my
priest, to offer upon mine
altar, to burn incense, to
wear an ephod before me?
And I give unto the house of
thy father all the offerings
made by fire of the children
of Israel?
29) Where kick ye at my
sacrifice and at my offering
which I have commanded in
my habitation; and honorest
thy sons above me, to make
yourselves fat with the
chiefest of all the offerings of
Israel my people?
30) Wherefore the LORD
GOD of Israel saith, I said
indeed that thy house, and
the house of thy father
should walk before me for
ever, but now the LORD saith,
be it far from me, for them
that honor me I will honor,
and they that Despise me
shall be lightly esteemed
31) Behold, the days come,
that I will cut off thine arm,
and the arm of the father;s
house, that there shall not be
an old man in thine house

commandment of the LORD
thy GOD, which he
commanded thee; for now
would the LORD have
established thy Kingdom
upon Israel for ever
14) But now thy Kingdom
shall not continue; the LORD
hath sought him a man after
his own heart and the LORD
hath commanded him to be
captain over his people,
because thou hast not kept
that which the LORD
commanded thee
8) And he tarried seven
days, according to the set
time that appointed; but
Samuel came not to Gilgal;
and the people were
scattered from him
9) And Saul said, Bring hither
a burnt offerings, and he
offered the burnt offering
10) And it came to pass, that
as soon as he had made an
end of offering the burnt
offering, behold Samuel
came; and Saul went out to
meet him, that he might
salute him
11) And Samuel said, What
hast thou done? And Saul
said, because I saw that the
people were scattered from
me, and that thou camest not
within the days appointed,
and that the Philistines
gathered themselves to
gather at Michmash
12) Therefore said I, the
Philistine will come down
now upon me to Gilgal, and I
have not made supplication
unto the LORD; I force myself
therefore, and offered a

he is turned back from
following me and hath not
performed my
commandments. And it

8) And he took Agag the
king of the Amalekites alive,
and utterly destroyed all the
people with the edge of the
sword
9) But Saul and the people
spared Agag, and the best of
the sheep, and the lambs,

grieved Samuel; and he cried
unto the LORD all night
12) And when Samuel rose
early to meet Saul in the
Morning, it was told Samuel,
saying, Saul Came to camel,
and behold he set him up
about, a place, and is gone
about, and passed on, and
gone down to Gilgal
13) And Samuel came to
Saul and Saul said unto him,
Blessed be thou of the LORD;
I have performed the
commandment of the LORD
14) And Samuel said, what
meaneth then this bleating of
the sheep in mine ears, and
the lowing of the oxen which
I hear?
15) And Saul said they have
brought them from the
Amalekites; for the people
spared the best of the sheep
and of the oxen, to sacrifice
unto the LORD thy GOD; and
the rest we have utterly

16) Then Samuel said unto
Saul, stay, and I will tell thee

17)And Samuel said, when
thou east little in thine own
sight wast thou not made the
head of the tribes of Israel,
and the LORD anointed thee
king over Israel?
18) And the LORD sent thee
on a Journey, and said, Go
and utterly destroy the
sinners the Amalekites, and
fight against them until they
be consumed
and all that was good, and
would not utterly destroy
them, but every thing that
was vile and refuse, that they
destroyed utterly

19) Wherefore then didst
thou not obey the voice of
the LORD but didst fly upon
the spoil, and didst evil in the
sight of the LORD
20) And Saul said unto
Samuel yea, I have obeyed
the voice of the LORD, and
have gone the way of which
the LORD sent me, and have
brought Agag the King of
Amalek, and have utterly
destroyed the Amalekites
21) But the people took of
the spoil, sheep and oxen,
the chief of the things which
should have been utterly
destroyed, to sacrifice unto
the LORD thy GOD in Gilgal
22) And Samuel said, hath
the LORD as great delight in
burnt offering and sacrifice ,
as , as in obeying the voice of
the LORD? Behold, to obey is
better than sacrifice and to
hearken than the fat of rams
23) For rebellion is as the sin
of witchcraft, and
stubbornness is as iniquity
and idolatry, because thou
hast rejected the word of the
LORD, he hath also rejected
thee from being king

and if that had been too
little, I would moreover have

such things
9) Wherefore hast thou
despised the commandment
of the LORD, to do evil in his
sight? Thou has killed Uriah
the Hittite with the sword,
and hast taken his wife to be
thy wife, and hast slain him
with the sword of the
children of Ammon
10) Now therefore the
sword shall never depart
from thine house; because
thou hast despised me, and
hast taken the wife of Uriah
the Hittite to be thy wife
11) Thus saith the LORD,
Behold; I will raise up evil
against thee out out of thine
own house, and I will take
thy wives before thine eyes,
and give them unto thy
neighbor, and he shall lie
with thy wives in the sight of
this sun
12) For thou didst it secretly;
but I will do this thing before
all Israel, and before the sun
13) And David said unto
Nathan, I have sinned against
the LORD, and Nathan said
unto David, The lord also
hath put away thy sin; thou

and she came in unto him,
and he lay with her; for she
was purified from her
uncleanness; and she
returned unto her house

same day, saying, this is the
sign which the LORD hath

shall be rent, and the ashes
that are upon it shall be

20) And the LORD said, who
shall persuade Ahab, that he
may go up and fall at
Ramoth-gilead? And one said
on this manner, and another

21) And there came forth a
spirit, and stood before the
LORD, and said, I will
persuade him
22) And the LORD said unto
him, where with ? and he
said, I will go forth, and I will
be a lying spirit in the mouth
of all his prophets. And he
said, Thou shalt persuade

day, when thou shalt go into
an inner chamber to hide
thyself

said, take Micaiah, and carry
him back unto Amon the
Governor of the city, and to
Joash the King’s son
9) Then the King of Israel
called an officer, and said,

son of Imlah

deliver it into the Kings hand

27) And said, thus saith the

of affliction until I come in
peace
28) And Micaiah said, if thou
return at all in peace, the
LORD hath not spoken by me
And he said hearken, O
