verily, verily, I say unto you,,
whosoever committed sin is
the servant of sin
35)And the servant abideth
not in the house for ever; but
the son abideth ever
36)If the SON therefore shall
make you free, ye shall be

WHO COMMITS SIN IS A
SERVANT OF SIN
Those who make sin their
trade, business, and
employment, and are
properly works of it and
takes delight and pleasure in
it, under the government of
sin has dominion over them
and obey it in lusts, lives a
life of sin, that is the slavery
of the soul to evil passion
and desires, dominion of
lusts and corruptions, is a
slave of sin, individuals who
habitually sin are still slave of
sin and are unrighteousness,
therefore are the children of
the devil, bound to its master
as slave
THE SERVANT ABIDE NOT IN
HOUSE FOR EVER BUT THE
SON
The servant of sin cannot
abide in the house of the
LORD forever ,The
Unrighteous and unsaved
person are slave to sin,
impurity and Satanic in
nature, they live according to
the cravings of the sinful
nature and the ways of
Satan, the sinner makes
himself a slave, that the
salve does not abide in the

house, does not have
permanently footing, he may
be cast or sold , sin has a
way of enslaving us,
controlling us, dominating us,
and dictating our actions,
scripture in GALATIANS 4:30:
cast out the bound woman
and her son, for the son of
the bound woman shall not
be heir with heir of the free
woman.
He is not heir he is not a
fixed member of the families,
and may at any time be
expelled from the house of
the master, but a son is the
heir and cannot be sold or
cast out like the salve
That implies that they all are
born in sin, and slaves and
needed freedom from the
bondage of sin, that only the
son our LORD JESUS CHRIST
that can set us free from sin
and enable us to abide in the
FATHER house for ever
IF THE SON THEREFORE
SHALL MAKE YOU FREE
JESUS makes the believer
free, he is only him that can
free you from slavery and
becoming the person GOD
created you to be, the Son of
GOD- heir of all things, shall
deliver you from bondage
and dominion of sin, who is
the only one that can break
the power of enslaving one
of sin in our life, as true
believer, we possess
salvation in JESUS CHRIST, to
whom alone it belongs to
make souls free from the

slavery of the Law, sin, death
and Hell, with the
accompanied grace of the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit
and are free from the power
of sin and immorality.
When we face temptation to
sin, he is the one that makes
the believer free from sin,
delivered from bondage and
servitude of it, from the
power and domination of it
and from its guilt and
liableness to punishment for
it, by procuring the pardon of
their sins through his blood;
and justifying their person by
his righteousness make them
free and deliver them from
the captivity of Satan.
We now have power to act
according to the will of GOD,
freedom of sin’s bondage is
one sure yardstick by which
we may test whether we
have eternal life with its
regenerating and sanctifying
grace living in us ,but such
that have received the Spirit
of adoption from CHRIST,
they are really free.

6)Knowing this, that our old
man is crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be
destroyed, that henceforth
we should not serve sin

KNOWING THIS THAT OUR OLD
MAN IS CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST
By the old man because is
the poison of the Serpent,
with which man was infected
by him from the beginning , it
is derived from the first man
that ever was. The Power of
sin over us died with JESUS
CHRIST on the cross, our old
sinful nature died once and
for all, so we are freed from
the power of sin, which is

our rebellious sin loving
nature inherited from Eve
and Adam , as all human
beings were born in Adam, as
heir of sin and death that he
introduce in to the world
through Satan falsehood and
we became slaves to the
power of sin ,the power of
sin at work in our life is now
defeated as people who are
now in CHRIST , we have
gone through crucifixion with
him, when he died on the
cross, we also died to the
dominating power of sin that
rule over our former selves
GALATIANS 2:20
JESUS died completely, so
those who profess
Christianity must be
completely separated and
saved from sin having no
more connection with it, just
as it took the might of GOD
to raise JESUS CHRIST, it will
take this to bring alive the
dead souls of sinners and
make them new creatures,
that henceforth we should
not serve sin; not that it
should be in us by the
sacrifice of CHRIST, by the
power of grace, sin is being
removed from the believers

death and resurrection is
considered by GOD to have
died with CHRIST on the

up in his resurrection that we
are dead to sin.
By virtue of CHRIST death we
are dead to sin, and by virtue
of his resurrection we are
alive to GOD, and so we are
alive never to go back and
resume or return again to
sins
when we are born again by
the Spirit, we have been
given CHRIST power to resist
sin, and die to it daily by
putting away his death his
misdeeds of the body , their
faith on the righteousness of
CHRIST, make them a
sanctified persons, who are
quickens by the Spirit of
CHRIST justified before GOD,
LET NOT SIN THEREFORE
REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL
BODY
The believers are not to
allow sin to reign in their soul
since grace reign in them,
they are regenerated and
spiritually alive, seeing that
they are dead to sin, they
should resist the craving for
sinful nature and lusts of the
old man and don’t allow sin
to have dominion and rule
over them, to always
remember them of the
tendency of the flesh to sin
and corruption, which fleshy
desire and passion to commit
sin

FOR SIN SHALL NOT HAVE
DOMINION OVER YOU
For sin shall not have
dominion over GOD’S people
after conversion, since sin
attempts to reign primarily
through the desires of our
sinful nature which seeks
fulfilment through our body,
these desires must be
resisted by those with faith in
CHRIST oftentimes to hinder
that which is good, and to
effect that which is evil, it
entices and ensnares, and
bring into captivity, and
seems as though it would
regain its dominion and reign
again, but sin shall not, have
dominion over believers; and
respect not acts of sin, it shall
not lord over you; for in
regeneration sin is dethroned
FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER
THE LAW
For you no longer live under
the requirement of the law;
to gain righteousness by it
the law of Moses was the
governing power of the old
covenant era, believers now
are not under legalist to
justify by it, justification by
works would not destroy sin,
would check no evil, it is
inability to keep it, and
consequently to be the
helpless slave to sin and
leave a man with unsubdued
passion
BUT UNDER GRACE
Under the covenant of grace
teaches men to deny
ungodliness and worldly

lusts; under and in
possession of the grace of
justification and pardon,
which strongly influence to
righteousness and holiness;
and under regenerating
scheme of mercy, the design
and tendency which is to
subdue sin and destroy it,
which reigns through
righteousness unto eternal
life through JESUS CHRIST
our LORD, we live under the
freedom of GOD’S grace
WHAT THEN SHALL WE SAY
DO WE CONTINUE IN SIN
Shall we sin and go in in
transgressions; because we
are not the law, under the
law of Moses it forbid sins,
but gives no strength against
it; but under grace, a
dispensation perfectly the
reverse, offering pardon to
the most guilty, holiness to
the most evil.
This will not follow that they
will feel themselves released
from obligation to be Holy?
Will they not commit sin
freely, since the system of
grace is one which
contemplate pardon
GOD FORBID OBEY
Though we are not under the
curse and rigor of the law,
yet we are under its
directions and disciple, but
the gospel allows of sin no
more than the law and to
argue from the
unchangeableness of GOD’S
grace , or the doctrine of it,
as encouraging immorality, is

greatly to abuse the grace of
GOD, and manifestly betrays
such person to be ignorant of
it and its influence: since
nothing more powerfully
engages to a love of holiness,
and hatred of sin, signifying
his hatred for it.
KNOW THAT TO WHOM YE
YIELD YOURSELVES SERVANT
YOU
The believers are warned, of
those who think they may
steadily continue in sin
because they are under
grace, if believer will give
themselves to sin, they will
become slave to sin unto
death or obedience unto
righteousness through
CHRIST JESUS , such who
obey sin are servant of sin,
they are at the beck and
command of sin; they give up
themselves for the service of
sin with delight and diligence,
we cannot serve two masters
Mammon/Money or GOD
LUKE 16:13 , The wages of
sin is death but the gift of
GOD is eternal life through
JESUS CHRIST our LORD.

After accepting and believing
in CHRIST every believer
must continue to choose
whom they will serve either
to return to sin or oppose its
domination and not to
become slave to sin with
penalty of everlasting
destruction from the
presence of GOD

BECAUSE OF THE INFIRMITY
OF YOUR FLESH
Considering that they had
flesh, or corrupt nature, and
were attended with
weakness in knowledge,
which flow from the infirmity
of the flesh; because of your
imperfection of spiritual
knowledge; or incapacity to
discern arguments and
ilustrations, that is human
nature, that you should do as
much for GOD as you have
done for sin, and be as
diligent in the service of GOD
as you have been in the
pursuit of your lust
, YOU HAVE YIELD YOUR
MEMBERS SERVANTS TO
UNCLEANNESS,
To various fleshly lusts
which defiles you and iniquity
or unrighteousness towards
others; adding more iniquity
to another; even so now;
being enlightened by the
gospel to see the evil of such
things, and the miserable
consequence awaiting them;
and being renewed by the
influences of divine grace.
It is but reasonable that you
should be ready to pursue
sincere and righteous line of
conduct, and to do good
now, as formerly you were to
do evil, and become servant
of righteousness , in order to
practice holiness, let the
surrender of your members
to holiness be sincere and
unqualified, who conformed

to the divine will unto
Holiness
FOR WHEN YOU WERE
SERVANT OF SIN
When you serve sin, you
know that GOD and
righteousness had no need
of your service; why then sin
should have any of your
service now, as your service
Were under the quilt and
power of sin as you have no
righteousness at all; as you
are adverse to it, desirous to
it never doing any single
action that was truly good,
since no servant can serve
two master and acceptable
to GOD
