1)And it came to pass
afterward, that he went
throughout every city and
village, preaching and
showing the glad tidings of
the kingdom of GOD: and the
twelve were with him
The kingdom JESUS was to erect
among mankind, the glad tidings
of his , which CHRIST came to
bring, that the kingdom of GOD is
about to come or that his reign in
the gospel was about to be set up
over people, which was now
taking place, and been long
expected: publishing the doctrine
and mysteries of it, such as free
and full remission of sins for his
sake, justification by his
righteousness, acceptance in him
the beloved SON of GOD,
complete salvation by him as
savior of his people.
JESUS business is preaching; it
was what he was sent to do, his
primary call and mission, JESUS
went about his primary task, that
is preaching and proclaiming the
Gospel, he did not delay in his
activities, he was faithful in
preaching and proclaiming the
gospel
JESUS did not preach rituals or
religion , ceremony, and rules,
works and deed , his message is
the good new of the kingdom
PSALM 40 :9-10
9)I have preached
righteousness in the great
congregation; lo I have not
refrained my lip o lord thou
knowest
10)I have not hid they
righteousness with my heart;
I have declared thy salvation;
I have not concealed thy
loving-kindness and thy truth
continually preserve me
I HAVE PREACHED
RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE GREAT
CONGREGRATION
Not the righteousness which the
law requires men to do; but the
righteousness which CHRIST
himself created out, for the
justification of them that believe;
this he was a preacher, as well as
the author of, and partn of the
good news, the glad tiding he was
anointed to preach, ISAIAH 61:1,
by publishing the good tiding; this
our LORD did publicly before all
the people, in synagogues and in
temple, whither the people are in
great number or not.
It would be difficult to see how
this could be applied to David
himself, or on what occasion of
his life, but no doubt is applicable
to the Messiah, CHRIST prophetic
office, who preached the great
truths of GOD’S government to
sinners
(a) He is a preacher
(b) He addresses vast
multitudes
(c) Before them all, and at all
times, he maintained and
illustrate the great
principle of righteousness
and unfolded the way in
which all those multitude
might become righteous
before GOD
When GOD’s word is in our
hearts, we cannot help but
declare it to the world
I HAVE NOT REFRAINED MY LIPS
From preaching it out of fear, or
self love, but have preached it
publicly , and even to face the of
mine enemies JESUS CHRIST have
showed to human race that GOD
is merciful and world pardon sin
that GOD is thy method of
salvation of men,
ACTS 10:36
36)The word which GOD
sent unto the children of
Israel preaching peace by
JESUS CHRIST, he is the LORD
of all
THE WORD WHICH GOD SENT
The Message , doctrine, which
GOD sent on the children of
Israel: GOD sent his word to
Israel: he sent JESUS CHRIST
preaching peace, doctrine of
reconciliation, by the blood of
CHRIST preach through them the
doctrine of peace and
reconciliation.
GOD sent his word to Israel,
Israel was the first nation to
receive GOD’S word, which was
stated by CHRIST to the Samaritan
woman at the well, that the way
of Salvation was first made known
to the Jews JOHN 4:22 GOD sent
his word to Israel by JESUS CHRIST
who brought the message of
GOD, but was not meant for Israel
alone, JESUS is LORD of all:
a. The Jew
b. The privilege
c. He poor
d. The Gentile and every
nation
e. The heathen
f. The people who truly fear
him
No one had an excuse for
rejecting the Gospel of GOD’S
kingdom, JESUS CHRIST had
traveled and preached the gospel
everywhere, and he was the
subject of discussion everywhere,
they were without excuse with
those who have heard the gospel.
ROMANS 10:15
15)And how shall they
preach, except they be sent?
As it is written, how
beautiful, are the feet of
them that preach the gospel
of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things
PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE
How can a person hear without a
preacher? How can a person hear
that JESUS CHRIST died for him? if
a preacher or some believer do
not tell him ,In what way shall
there be preachers, except they
are divinely commissioned and
sent forth, by GOD.
To hear anything requires a
person who either speaks or
writes, to receive communication
requires a communicator, to hear
a message requires a messenger,
the message of the LORD which is
glorious Gospel must be carried to
the world, but in order for it to be
carried, a messenger is needed,
believers must preach the Gospel
if people are to hear the Gospel.
GOD is the one who sends forth
preachers and witness of the
LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD is the
one who commissions, qualifies,
and instruct the preacher they are
to proclaimed the gospel of the
people in a public manner
HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET
THAT PREACH THE GOSPELOF
PEACE
The Gospel is a message of peace
and good news, the glad tiding,
the glad message of good things,
which is news of reconciling with
GOD to obtain pardon by the
gospel of good news ,the feet of
the coming of the messengers
who proclaimed to the world ,the
preacher and believers are
beautiful; they are welcome sight
of the world that desperately
needs the message of peace and
good news
ROMANS 10:16-17
16)but they have not all
obeyed the gospel, for Isaiah
saith, LORD, who hath
relieved our report?
17)So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the
word of GOD
BUT THEY HAVE NOT ALL OBEYED
THE GOSPEL
Who hear it, and to whom it is
preached; for though believer
may be regularly sent forth, and
rightly preach the Gospel in clarity
of it, yet there is no success
without the power of GOD
attending it: Minsters may
preach, and men may hear, and
yet not obey the Gospel
For ISAIAH said, LORD who heard
believed our report; our hearing,
which the apostle heard CHRIST,
though what they hear from him,
they made known to men ; but
the hearing and the word heard,
which was disregarded , when the
arm and power of LORD were not
revealed: this is the case of the
Jews in Isaiah time and the same
time in the time of JESUS CHRIST
and his apostles, and always the
case, when divine power does not
attend the preaching of the
Gospel prophets proclaim the
gospel of good tidings all were
said to hear, but not all to
hearken,
FAITH COMETH BY HEARING BY
THE WORD OF GOD
A man hears the truth of the
word of GOD, and agrees that it
is true and does something about
it, by commits and yields his life
to the truth, the truth becomes a
part of his very being, a part of his
behavior and life, which believing
in the name of JESUS CHRIST and
committing one’s life to him by
trusting in him, who he is and
what he has done, believing he
will take care of our past sins and
delivering from death unto
eternal life.
That as request is owning to
faith, so faith to hearing, hearing
to preaching, preaching the
gospel all creatures that they
hearing might be saved by him
hearing the word of GOD
I CORINTHIANS 1:17
17) For CHRIST sent me not
to baptize, but to preach the
gospel; not with wisdom of
words, lest the cross of
CHRIST should be made non
effect
FOR CHRIST SENT ME NOT TO
BAPTIZE BUT
In the assured consciousness that
JESUS CHRIST sent him to
preaching the Gospel to those
that never heard it before,
because they are more
committed to convert the world,
that the design ,of his apostolic
mission was preaching and
teaching and ,Paul recognized
that baptizing, as an external
office and one that required no
special gift, should be the rule to
be left to others, to avoid for his
own part, being drawn away from
following out that higher aim,
which was his specific calling.
NOT WITH WISDOM OF WORDS
The cross can be emptied of its
power, Just be preaching the
gospel with “WORDS OF HUMAN
WISDOM” which means, a
preacher can be more concerned
with eloquence than the cross,
he focus upon”
v Flowery speech
v Fluency
v Descriptive terms
v Persuasive words
v Charisma
v Enticing arguments
A preacher can also become
more concerned about the
content of his message and its
points and arguments about the
message than he does about
proclaiming the cross , he focus
upon:
v Exciting thoughts about some
speculations or Philosophy
v Presenting a new or novel
idea
v Having good and interesting
and dynamic sermon
v Sharing and intriguing position
The man who preaches the
Gospel with words of human
wisdom, makes the cross of JESUS
CHRIST of no effect, he is void or
empties the Cross of its power, he
focus attention of fanciful
speech, descriptive presentation,
perversive words, fluency,
enticing arguments , when people
leave the service their attention is
not on the Gospel and the cross
their attention is on the preacher,
the cross is emptied and
powerless, no life has been
changed, no by GOD
No preacher or teacher should
set out to impress people with
his style, delivery, fluency
charisma, ideas or anything else ,
the teacher and Minister have
been called by GOD to preach the
Cross alone and not self and new
ideas and speculation of me
COLOSSIANS 1:23
23)If ye continue in the faith
grounded and settled, and
be not moved away from the
hope of the gospel; which
was preached to every
creature which is under
heaven; whereof I Paul am
made a minister
IF YE CONTINUE IN THE FAITH
GROUNDED AND SETTLED AND
NOT MOVE AWAY FROM HOPE
OF THE GOSPEL;
A person must continue to
believe in JESUS CHRIST and
grounded and settled in his belief,
persist ever moving on: to stay
with and moving forward more
and more, to be firm, solid
foundation.
The believer must be so
established and grounded in
CHRIST that he can withstand the
severest storms of life, he must
stand firm and continue on
inbeing steadfast if he wishes to
be presented perfect before GOD,
with the hope of reconciling to
GOD.
A person must not move away
from the hope of the gospel
what can move a person away
from the hope of the gospel:
v Wordiness,
v Lust
v Greed
v Pride
v Fame
v False teaching
v Power
v Persecution
A person who profess CHRIST
and don’t live for him is living a
lie, a person has to continue in
the faith and grow to such a
degree that he will never be
moved away, if he moves away
from CHRIST, and stay moved
away, he will never be presented
to GOD as Perfect
1 THESSALONIANS 1:8
8)For from you sounded out
the word of the LORD not
only in Macedonia and
Achaia, but also in every
place your faith to GOD-ward
in spread abroad; so that we
need not to speak any thing
FOR FROM YOU SOUNDED OUT
THE OF THE LORD
The truth of the gospel were to
be spread aboard, of their faith
the word rendered “SOUNDOUT”
refer to the sounding of a blowing
a trumpet, to which is that the
Gospel was to be proclaimed like
the loud voice of the trumpet
echoing from place to place.
That your faith towards the
Gospel is spread abroad, which is
the grace of faith bestow on
them.
2 TIMOTHY 4:2
2)Preach the word; be
instant in season, out of
season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all long-suffering
and doctrine
3)For the time will come
when they will not endure
sound doctrine; but after
their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears
4)And they shall turn away
their ears from the truth ,
and shall be turned to fables
PREACH THE WORD
The word of GOD, the Gospel,
should consume passion he of
the believers
BE INSTANT IN SEASON AND OUT
OF SEASON
Be prepared in season and out of
season, not the LORD’S day only ,
in all times, when there is
opportunity ,keep a sense of
urgency: grasp the opportunities
and make opportunity to preach
the gospel, that he should be
constant his calling, he should be
pressing or urgent to perform his
works, always be at his use every
opportunity of making known
the gospel.
v Correct
v Rebuke
v Encourage- with great
patience and careful
instruction
The whole trust with preaching is
to burn within his soul: he is to be
consumed with preaching,
burning passion to preach,
because preaching is GOD’S
chosoen method to save man, for
the Minster is held accountable to
preach.
They are not to preach their own
notions and fancies, endless
genealogies, perverse disputing,
vain preachers, that they are to
preach, but the pure plain word of
GOD; and they must not corrupt
it.
The believer is to be urgent,
because the message he brings is
factually a matter of life and
death ,
REPROVE: errors and men of
error and heresies: make use of
convincing augments taken out
from the scripture, which are
profitable for reroof of this kind,
so that men may be sound in the
faith
REBUKE: scold for sin; some
privately some publicly; according
to circumstance of the nature of
the offence
EXHORT:
To show love, and do good
works;; to hold fast the professing
faith, and walk to preserve faith
and holiness be rendered by
preaching the comfortable
doctrine of peace, pardon,
righteousness and salvation by
JESUS CHRIST
TITUS 1:9-11
9)Holding fast the faithful
word as he hath been taught,
that he may be able by sound
doctrine both to exhort and
to convince the gainsayers
10) For there are many
unruly and vain talkers and
deceivers, specially they of
the circumcision
11) Whose mouths must be
stopped , who subvert whole
houses, teaching things
which they ought not, for
filthy lucre’s sake
HOLDING FAST THE FAITFUL
WORD AS HE HAD BEEN TAUGHT
That is the true doctrines of the
gospel, that is to hold fast, in
opposition to all false gospel and
any system of false philosophy, he
must be a man of who is firm on
his belief of the doctrine of
Christian faith.
FALSE TEACHERS
They were many false teachers in
the church the church has to
combat false teachings, they are
rebellious , indiscipline, unruly,
disloyal against GOD, they refuse
to submit to GOD and to the truth
of the Gospel, they are mere
talkers; empty talkers, saying and
teaching things that amount to
nothing and worthless, their
teaching helped no one not able
to bring true forgiveness of sin,
and eternal life
They had mouths that needed to
be silenced , their false teaching
need to be stopped, by reason of
arguments, false teacher must
always be silenced , their teaching
is misleading and erroneous ,
therefore their teaching must be
restrained, stopped, their tongue
must be silenced there are not
allowed to sow seed of error
They are seeking dishonest gain,
they enter the church to:
v Gain a livelihood or money
v Gain recognition
v Gain acceptance
v Gain the satisfaction of being
a reputable profession
