one towards another mind
not high things, but

UNITY AND HUMILITY
The believer is not to be
proud, but willing to
associate with people of low
position, poor and needy.
*The believer is not to allow
his mind on prideful things of
this world, but to look upon
the poor and lowly and to
give his life to meeting their
needs
The believer should not have
too high an opinion of
himself and feel above better
than the others because of
o Clothes

o School
o Honor
o Wealth
He is not to neglect, ignore,
separate or despise the lowly

his knowledge and
superiority because he can
see a fact more clearly than

control his life with the
principle of love
Knowledge is only partial, no
matter what a person think
he knows, it is incomplete.

appears in men in thinking so
highly of themselves , in
speaking to well of them
sleeves, in deriding others
and setting trust of their own
righteousness for salvation

PROVERBS 11:2
2)When pride cometh, then
cometh shame; but with the
lowly is wisdom
WHEN PRIDE COMES,
COMES SHAME
Pride, as it is the effect of
foolishness, as bring a man to
contempt and destruction,
such person is under the
displeasure of GOD, because,
by their disobedience and
high- mindedness shall
destroy them, such men are
hated both by GOD and by all
men
BUT WITH THE LOWLY IS
WISDOM
The humbled are kept from
those foolish and wicked
actions, which expose them
to shame , in their integrity
of the upright, sincere
obedience to GOD’S law,
shall guide them, shall keep
them from crooked and
dangerous courses and leads
them in a right and safe way.

contention; but with the well

ONLY BY PRIDE COMES
CONTENTION
A man who is too proud to
receive counsel is sure to fall
out with others for
contentions often come as a
result of ignorance, or
mistake, or covetousness, or
passion ,
Pride alone comes
contention- that is the one
unfailing spring of quarrels is
the fruit of pride
BUT WITH THE WELL
ADVISED IS WISDOM
Who are humble and
modest will seek counsel of
GOD, will consult with them
that superior in knowledge
and understanding, who are
not after their own passions,
but by careful consideration,
and good counsel of others,
which teach them to avoid
useless contention, is
wisdom

is the rod of pride; but the
lips of the wise shall preserve

PRIDE

speeches, as they are like a
rod, offensive and injurious
to others, by provoking GOD
and men against them
BUT THE LIPS OF THE WISE
SHALL PRESERVE THEM
Wise men are careful of their
words, that they may not
offend, much more and
hereby remain in safety
PROVERBS 16:18-19

destruction, and a haughty
spirit before a fall
19)Better it is to be of a
humble spirit with the lowly,
than to divide the spoil with
the proud
PRIDE GOETH BEFORE
DESTRUCTION
It is commonly a cause of
men’s downfall , as it
provoke GOD and men, he
carries his head high, looks
down on people
BETTER IT IS TO BE OF A
HUMBLE SPIRIT
Better it is of an humble
spirit with the lowly, the
meek and lowly, who submit
themselves under the mighty
hand GOD

him low; but honor shall

in their hearts, which are
made by the spirit of GOD
ECCLESIASTES 7:8
8) Better is the end of a thing
than the beginning thereof;
and the patient in Spirit is
better than the Proud in
spirit
BETTER IS THE PATIENT IN
SPIRIT THAN THE PROUD IN
SPIRIT
The good and better things is
better known by their end
than beginning, The patience
in spirit, who quietly waits for
issues of things and believing
in GOD
IS BETTER THAN A PROUD
SPIRIT, which he puts instead
of hurried or impatient,
because pride is the chief
cause of impatience that
leads to destruction.
