THE EFFECT OF LIGHT
JESUS CHRIST- is to make
things manifest and to
direct us the way in which
we are to walk, The believer
must enlighten and reform
the world in sin, ignorance,
misery by their doctrine as
example to life and
salvation
*The believer are light of
the world, because they, by
their character, instruction
and example, hey show
what GOD requires, what is
the condition of man, what
is the way to duty, peace
and happiness and the way
that leads to heaven
* You are the light of the
world- This being the
distinctive title which our
LORD JESUS CHRIST gave to
himself –JOHN 8:12 It can
only apply to believer only
as they shine with his light
upon the world, by virtue of
the holy Spirt that is in the
believer to illuminate the
world

14) Ye are the light of the
world, a city that is set no a
hill cannot be hid

THE ESSENTIAL MISSION OF
CHRISTIAN IN THE WORLD:
To meet the world need as
been light to the world.
JESUS said the believer is
the light of the world and he
said he is the light of the
world, the believer is what
JESUS CHRIST is.
• That means the
believer character is
as a light
• The believer place
to shine is the world
LIGHT DOES SEVERAL
THINGS
*Light penetrates, by
nature it cuts through and
eliminates darkness.
*Light enlightens, it
enlarges a person’s vision
and knowledge of an area
*Light reveals, it opens up
the truth of an area, a
whole new world, and clear
up the way of truth and life
*Light guides, it directs the
way to go, leads along the
right part.
* Light drives away
darkness
* Light protects it protects
a person from the danger of
darkness, from stumbling,
falling, and injuring himself
* A believer light is only a
reflects light he reflects the
light of the LORD
* Light warns; it warns of
dangers that lies ahead in a
person’s path.
*The believer is to walk in
the light, that is in purity
The characters of the
believer must be pure
*The world has no other
light, the believer is the light
of the world
*Light is to be placed where
its influence can be best
used and felt especially in
their work place, city, state
and nation the whole world
is to be illuminated by the
light of believers.
*The believer must
undergo radical
transformation he must be
like JESUS CHRIST

LET THERE BE LIGHT
GOD is revealed as
self-existent, who is the first
cause of all that ever
existed.
*Light is the first created
thing, that is upon which
depends all life and growth
known to us on earth
*Light is the symbol of
divine presence in the
revelation in JOHN 1:4 in
him was life; and the life
was the Light of men
*The light is simply what
makes a sensible impression
on the organ of vision
DIVIDED THE LIGHT FROM
DARKNESS
GOD saw the light, that it
was good, very pleasant and
delightful, useful and
beneficial GOD saw it as
good for service
*GOD divided the light
from darkness, but
separation of the Light and
darkness, which produce
the distinction of day and
night

THE LIGHT OF THE BODY IS
THE EYE:-That is, it is by the
eye that a person has light
for direction and organ of
vision

IF YOUR EYE IS SINGLE- that
is, it is not mixed with the
worldly riches,
covetousness but heavenly
things and kingdom focus
IF YOUR EYE BE EVIL
Through covetousness, too
much adherence to earthly
things, lust, envy or passion,
Mammon, your darkness
will be great
*So we fix our eyes not on
what is seen, but what is
Tunseen. For what is seen
temporal, but what is
unseen is eternal

save his life and avoid the
things that can cause him to
stumble and lose his life

IN HIM WAS LIFE AND THE
LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF
MEN
JESUS CHRIST is the source
of light and CHRIST was the
light of men.
*The knowledge of the life
of JESUS CHRIST was to be
the light of men from the
beginning man was to know
that life, to know GOD
personally and intimately.
The light of reason, as well
as the life of sense, is
derived from him and
depend upon him
The eternal word, the true
light shines
The light of men- All that is
in men, which is the true
light- knowledge, integrity,
intelligent, purity, wisdom
joy happiness, holiness all,
these are of men has in the
essential fountain .
JESUS CHRIST is the answer
to darkness, Since men had
brought darkness into the
world by sin, the life of
JESUS CHRIST was the light
of men, the beam that
showed men the way, the
truth and the Life

corruption and hell,

light and dispels darkness:
*Reveals GOD to man
*Show the nature,
meaning, and destiny of the
future and other things
*Guides a man out of the
darkness of sin, shame,
doubt, despair, and the fear
of death and hell
*Do away with and
eliminate the darkness

*The mission of JESUS
CHRIST is to gives light to all
men, through natural
revelation, to the order of
the universal
*JESUS CHRIST give light to
men by giving goods gifts to
men, good and perfect gift,
which men receive is from
the FATHER of Light

THE UNBELIEVER IS
CONDEMNED
The unbeliever is
condemned because Light
has come in the world, the
Light come into the world to
give light to men, to enable
men to walk out of darkness
of s sinful and perishing
world
The light come to show the
way the truth, and the life,
any man who does not turn
and walk in the light is
naturally in the dark, he is
condemned to darkness.

condemnation that light is
come into the world, and
men loved darkness rather
than light, neither cometh
to the light. Lest, because
their deeds were evil
20) For ever one that doeth
hateth the light , neither
cometh to the light, lest his
deeds should be reproved
21)But he that doeth truth
cometh to the light, that his
deeds may be made
manifest that they are
wrought in GOD

THIS IS THE
CONDEMNATION THAT
LIGHT IS COME INTO THE
WORLD AND MAN LOVE
DARKNESS:
JUDGMENT- For light and
darkness, which object is
salvation
*The light makes the
darkness visible, that they
chose darkness was the act
of their own will and evil of
there deeds
*The Light consist of
instruction, teaching,
doctrine and revelation,
which may be called light
*Men like darkness
darkness is of ignorance,
iniquity, errors
EVERYONE THAT DOETH
EVIL HATED THE LIGHT
The man that doeth evil,
that live in sin, love
darkness rather than light,
but he hates the light the
presence of light makes
manifest and reproves his
works
The unbeliever is
condemned because of
great sin unbelief is that it
neglects, ignore, denies,
abuse and reject the Son of
GOD

light of the world; he that
followeth me shall not walk
in darkness, but shall have
the light of life

JESUS AS THE LIGHT OF THE
WORLD:
A man does not posses
light, not within himself, not
by nature, men are in
darkness by nature
*A man is delivered out of
darkness by following JESUS
CHRIST, a man must
continue to follow JESUS
CHRIST in order to receive
light
*Man exist in darkness until
he follows JESUS CHRIST, it
is CHRIST that throws light
upon life, revealing what life
is really is- light of life
