28) Then said they unto him,
what shall we do, that we
might work the works of
GOD?
29)JESUS answered and said
un them, this is the work of
GOD, that ye believe on him
whom he hath sent
WHAT SHALL WE DO TO
WORK THE WORKS OF GOD
WORK VERSUS GRACE
The people thought in terms
of works, by doing good
works, they could win the
approval and acceptance of
GOD, if they did enough good
and lived a life that was
moral and just, GOD would
save them and give them life
eternal
*JESUS CORRECTED THE
PEOPLE’S THOUGHT
They did not secure the
favor of GOD and were not
accepted to GOD because of
works
THE WORK OF GOD
The work of GOD is only one;
believe- in the one he has
sent
*That you acknowledge him
JESUS CHRIST for the Son of
GOD, the savior of the world,
that you believe him and
obey his doctrine, rely on
him.

4)For there is no man that
doeth any thing in secret and
he himself seeketh to be
known openly if thou do
these things show thyself to
the world
5)For neither did his
brethren believe in him
6)then JESUS said unto them
my time is not yet come; but
your time is always ready
7)The world cannot hate
you; but me it hateth,
because I testify of it, that
the works thereof are evil
JESUS FAMILY UNBELIEF
JESUS CHRIST- Had four half
brothers whose name were
James, Joses, Simon and
Judas MATTHEW 13:55-56
Their attitude to wards JESUS
were embarrassment, his
claim to be SON OF GOD
embarrassed them and
taught that he is on his own
and compensate by mockery
and challenge him to go up
to Jerusalem to the Feast and
do his marvelous miracles.
JESUS suffering upon earth
include the rejection by his
hometown:
MARK 6:1-6, MATTHEW
13:53-58, LUKE 4:16-30
JESUS CHRIST- turned the
mockery into a teaching
situation, that the time a day
for acclaim is not now:
For acceptance and
acclaim
For reception and
recognition
For honoring and
receiving honor
It is time for the world’s
works to be proclaim evil , it
is the world reaction against
JESUS CHRIST:
  •  To point out the sin of
the world
  •  To point out the false
religion of the world
  • To point out the
corruption within the
world
  • To point out the need
for the world not to
praise evil.
JESUS said that the world
hates him because he
proclaims the truth, which
must be proclaimed and
preached.
The world cannot be saved
unless the evil/ WORK of the
world is acknowledged and
corrected.

39)They answered and said
unto him, Abraham is our
Father, JESUS saith unto
them, if ye were Abraham’s
children, ye would do the
works of Abraham
IF YOU ARE ABRAHAM
CHILDREN, YE WOULD DO
THE WORK OF ABRAHAM
JESUS said if you are
*Abraham children you will
do the things Abraham did,
believing diligently and
seeking GOD
He will not do the work of
the devil JOHN 8:44
*Abraham did not attempt
to kill the messenger of truth,
he did not do such thing.
*Abraham did not oppose
the messenger of GOD, but
received and accepted the
truth whenever a message
crosses his part
*Abraham believe GOD it
was counted for him as
righteousness
The true child of GOD is a
person who does the things
of GOD, he hears and receive
the truth.
He does not try to kill and
eliminate the greatest truth
GOD has given to this earth,
the truth of his own SON

25)JESUS answered them, I
told you, and ye believed
not: the works that I do in my
FATHER’S name, they bear
witness of me
THE WORKS I DO IN MY
FATHER’S NAME BEAR ME
WITNESS
The works that I do in my
FATHER’s Name, bear me
witness- such as:
§ Healing the sick,
§ Dispossessing devils,
§ Cleansing lepers,
§ Giving sight to the
blind,
§ Causing the deaf to
hear,
§ Dumb to speak,
§ Lame to walk, and
§ Raising the dead to
life
JOHN 10:32
32)JESUS answered them,
many good works have I
showed you from my
FATHER; for which of those
work do ye stone me?
MANY GOOD WORKS HAVE I
SHOWED YOU FROM MY
FATHER
I have been the instrument
of great deal of good to you, I
have given sight to the blind,
hearing to the deaf, healed
many that were sick of
grievous disease, cast out
many devils out of those
which infested with or
possessed by them, which
where not work of power,
but mercy and kindness
*These are called good
works, from my FATHER as
they are great and
miraculous ones, which any
man has done.
For which of these works do
ye stone me?, wherefore the
part they acted, was a most
ungrateful, cruel, and
barbarous one
JOHN 10:37-38
37) If I do not the works of
my FATHER, believe me not
38)But if I do, through ye
believe not me, believe the
works that ye may know, and
believe, that the FATHER is in
me, and I in him
IF I DO NOT THE WORK OF
MY FATHER BELIEVE ME NOT
When I claim the character of
the SON OF GOD, I do not
expect to be credited merely
on my own affirmation: If I
do not such glorious works as
could not be performed by
any but a divine agent,
believe me not.
*But if I do such work,
though you believe not me,
and regardless of my own
testimony in the case, ye at
least, believe the works,
though you believe not me,
let the evidence remove the
doubt
That ye may know that the
FATHER is in me, and I in the
FATHER, which oneness with
the FATHER

9) JESUS answered, are there
not twelve hours in the day?
If any man walk in the day,
he stumbleth not, because
he seeth the light of this
world
10)But if a man walk in the
night, he stumbelh, because
there is no light in him
ARE THERE NOT TWELVE
HOURS IN THE DAY?
JESUS answered was forceful
, and it stand as a great
lesson for all of us, there are
only twelve hours in a day
JESUS must work, that is:
Ø To work while it is
the day
Ø To go and do what is
right, regardless of
the danger
Ø To go and do what is
right lest the day pass
and the opportunity
is lost
Believer must do the same
like JESUS, a man has only
twelve hours of the daylight;
He must walk, that is, work
and do what is right,
grabbing the opportunity
while it is day.
GOD rules and governs the
world, while men are in their
callings and places, faithfully
discharge their trust, they
should never give up to the
rage of their enemies: they
are in their calling place, and
GOD will be the light unto
them.

11)Believe me that I am in
the FATHER, and the FATHER
in me; or else believe me for
the very works sake
12)Verily, verily, I say unto
you, he that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he
do also; and greater works
than these shall he do
because I go unto my FATHER
BELIEVE ME THAT I AM IN
THE FATHER OR ELSE
BELIEVE ME FOR THE VERY
WORKS SAKE:
Believe my WORD (For that
is your duty) but yet if you
will not believe my words,
my doctrine, declaring to you
my union with my FATHER,
yet when you see me doing
such works as none but GOD
can do.
Or else believe me for the
very work’s sake: meaning
his miraculous works, such as
raising the dead, cleansing
the lepers, causing the deaf
to hear, and giving sight to
the blind, and which were
such as none but a divine
person will perform
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME
GREATER WORKS
It is the great promise to
believers: the believers will
do the very same things or
works and even greater
works than JESUS did:
The true believer will do the
same kind of work that
JESUS did, work that is
characterized:
v By loving and caring
v By Ministering and
healing
v By proclaiming and
teaching
v By witnessing and
testifying
v By sharing and
disciplining
v By helping and
performing miracles
*The believer will work,
doing all he can do
demonstrate the love of GOD
in order to lead men to the
knowledge of His SON, JESUS
CHRIST
*The true believer will work
hard for the very same
purpose as JESUS CHRIST did,
HE will work….
§ To show men the
love and justice of
GOD
§ To help men in all
their needs
§ To Lead men to
believe on the SON of
GOD that they might
be saved and
delivered from sin,
death, and hell

24)If I had not done among
them the works which none
other man did, they had not
had sin but now have they
both seen and hated both me
and my FATHER
IF I HAD NOT DONE AMONG
THEM THE WORKS WHICH
NONE OTHER MAN DID
The miracles of JESUS
surpassed those of Moses
and the prophets, in their
numbers, he healed great
multitude, and no all other
parts was occupied in doing
good by miraculous power
The world hates believers
because they are not of the
world`; they are new
creature, they are called out
from the world: but they are
not of the world, they are
separated from the world of:
Religion, hoarding, carnality
covetousness
The world hates believers
because it does not really
know GOD, it deceive in its
concept and belief of GOD,
the world conceives GOD to
be the one who fulfils their
earthly desire and lust,
The world hate believers
because it exposes false
doctrine and expose sin.
JESUS reveal the true nature
of GOD to men therefore,
they stand guilty of the most
terrible sin of all: rejecting
GOD and his SON, if he had
not come, they would not be
guilty of this sin

4)I have glorified thee on the
earth; I have finished the
work which thou gavest me
to do
I HAVE GLORIFIED THEE ON
THE EARTH: I HAVE FINISH
MY WORK
JESUS doctrine, by preaching
the gospel, by living up to the
rule of the law, by
preforming miracles and to
give eternal life to man which
he had done.
The reason JESUS was now
ready to be glorified is that
he has completed the work
GOD had given him to do.
In doing the work GOD had
given him to do, he had
glorified GOD on earth
The only way a person can
glorify GOD on earth is to do
what GOD says, if a man is
interested in glorying GOD,
he will obey GOD

WORKS
Believers should absent
from, sinful desire because
unbelievers are watching
you, If a person follows JESUS
CHRIST the world will watch
everything a true believer
does,
We must live good live
before the world “ good” life
that is honorable, righteous,
pure, lovely, decent,
excellent, upright and noble.
Life without blame

SATAN’S WORK AND JESUS
WORK
Sin is not of GOD, he is not
the FATHER of sin, evil,
corruption and death , the
devil is the FATHER of such
JOHN 8:44
It is by sin we separated
ourselves from GOD, it is sin
that cause us to die, and
bring judgment upon us
This was the very purpose
for the SON of GOD coming
to earth, that he might
destroy the devils work by
the death of JESUS CHRIST
