|
31)Behold, the days
come, saith the LORD,
that I will make a new
covenant with the
house of Israel, and with
the house of Judah
32)Not according to the
covenant that I made
with their fathers in the
days that I took them by
the hand to bring them
out of the land of Egypt;
which my covenant they
brake, although I was a
husband unto them
saith the LORD
33)But this shall be the
covenant, that I will
make with the house of
Israel; after those days
saith the LORD, I will put
my laws in their inward
parts, and write in in
their hearts
34)And they shall teach
no more every man his
neighbor, and every
man his brother, saying,
know, know the LORD;
for they shall all know
me, from the least of
them unto the greatest
of them, saith the LORD;
for I will forgive their
iniquity, and I will
remember their sin no
more

THE COVENANT OF THE HEART
BEHOLD, THE DAYS COME SAITH THE
LORD:
This refers to the Gospel time, which
is the covenant of grace
The new was necessary because the
old covenant was inadequate,
whereas the old covenant had been
written on stone, the new covenant
is in the hearts of GOD’S people-they
will become part of their inward code
for living, the external
commandments will be internalized
under the new covenant and
extending his grace to the gentiles.
Under the new covenant GOD will
call out a people for himself from all
nations of the earth.

NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT
THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHER
This covenant GOD said he made
with when there are weak people,
the care of whom he took upon him
and led them as a parent lead the
delicate child by his hand, pillar of
cloud in the day and pillar of fire at
night which covenant they have
broken.
Their heart was not right with GOD,
nor steadfast in his covenant he
acted as husband to them by
nourishing and and cherishing them
in providing food (manna) and
raiment for them that waxed not old;
and in protecting them from their
enemies and bring them into a good
settlement in Canaan
THE NEW COVENANT
A distinctive feature of the new
covenant is GOD’S gift of a new heart
and nature to all which believe in
JESUS CHRIST so that may love and
obey the GOD, to ability to response
to GOD come from the holy spirit
living within believers and the
regeneration or new birth.
GOD Establish a new covenant; a
better one, which is more superior
because it will be internalized as
heart reality,
GOD say I will put my laws in in their
mind and write them in their heart.
*GOD holiness and righteousness are
internalized in the believer by the
Holy Spirit, imparting a new heart
and nature wherewith to
passionately love and joyfully obey
GOD
PUT IT IN YOU HEART
The covenant is GOD’s gift of new
heart and nature to all who believe in
JESUS CHRIST not ceremonial laws,
which was abolished when this
covenant was made, with is regards
to regenerated persons, in which lies
parts of conformity with JESUS
CHRIST, as a result of the indwelling
of the Holy Spirit which is impossible
for a person to have true life and to
follow GOD’s way with out it.
The tables on which this law or laws
are written are not of stone like the
old covenant, but fleshy tables of the
heart; the heart is the proper seat,
both of the law of GOD and Gospel of
JESUS CHRIST, as well as of the grace
of GOD in all regenerated persons.
THEY SHALL TEACH NO MORE EVERY
MAN HIS NEIGHBOR
This must not be interpreted as if
under the gospel there should be no
need for ministerial teaching, for
JESUS CHRIST himself sent out his
disciples to preach; nor yet as if there
should be no need for brotherly
teaching.
*It is that, the teaching is increasing
of knowledge, and the fear of the
LORD, which is mostly done by the
Holy Spirt for the regenerated heart ,
that he will have the ability to
conceive things reveal and greater
number of persons should be
enlightened with the saving
knowledge of GOD
JOHN 6:45
45)It is written in the prophets and
they shall be all taught of GOD, every
man therefore that hath heard, and
hath learned of the FATHER, come
unto me
THEY WILL ALL KNOW ME
The new covenant allows those who
believe in JESUS CHRIST to personally
know the LORD and have intimate
relationship with him, all will have
direct access to GOD and the LORDS
presence will be impacted to
believers through the Holy Spirit
I WILL FORGIVE THEIR INIQUITY,
AND REMEMBER THEIR SIN NO
MORE
The new covenant will thoughtfully
deal with sin, I will forgive their
wickedness, will remember their sin
no more.
The believers when knows fully the
reality of GOD’S forgiveness through
the cleansing blood, whereas the
blood of bulls and goats could only
cover ones sin but the blood of
JESUS blots out sin so that he
remembers it no more.

heart to know me, that I
am the LORD; and they
shall be my people, and
I will be their GOD; for
they shall return unto
me with their whole

I WILL GIVE THEM A HEART TO
KNOW ME
Which declares that man himself can
know nothing till GOD gives the heart
and understanding because of the
indwelling of the holy spirit, the new
covenant will be accompanied with
sufficient grace power and grace for
all to live righteously before GOD
*That I am GOD, gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, abundant in
goodness and truth, pardoning
iniquity, transgression and sin.
Comprehended faith, love, obedience
mercy and compassion.
THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE AND I
WILL BE THEIR GOD
I will be a GOD in covenant with
them; as I will fulfil what I have
promised them, so they shall do what
is their duty to me but shall returned
with their whole heart, affectionately
and sincerely.

A NEW HEART ALSO WILL I GIVE
YOU:
GOD promise to restore a new heart
that is tender as flesh so that believer
will respond to the word of GOD by
putting the holy spirit in them
A new nature of heart, excellent in it
self, and vastly different from what it
was before; a frame of soul changed
for sinful to holy, from carnal to
spiritual, a heart which the law of
GOD is written, a sanctified spirit, in
which the almighty grace of GOD is
victorious, and turns it from the
world to GOD and from sin to
holiness
I WILL TAKE AWAY THE STONY
HEART
Stubborn, senseless, obstinate heart
that receives no kind reception for
the word, that hardened by
deceitfulness of sin; this evil heart,
hardened by sin , poor of spiritual life
and motion; senseless and stupid,
stubborn, which remain hard, in
corrupt nature.
AN HEART OF FLESH
That is a heart different from the
stony, hard heart, quite of another
temper and frame, which will hear
GOD’S word, trembling at his threats,
a heart sensible of sin and danger; a
repentant heart, soft tender,
through love, compassion and the
fear of GOD; a spiritual and sanctified
heart, submissive to the will of GOD.

GOD does not write the message
upon tablets of stone as he did when
he gave the commandments to
Moses, he writes upon the tablets of
human hearts, he put the message
upon the hearts of men, which
causes men to live changed lives
The greatest recommendation that a
believer can have is :
-JESUS CHRIST written in the
lives of people
-The Spirit of the living GOD
written in the conduct and
behavior of people
-The law of GOD written in the
heart of people.

THE NEW TESTAMENT SHED FOR
MANY
THE NEW COVENANT JESUS CHRIST
blood, the sacrifice of his life

New covenant between GOD and
man, faith In his blood and sacrifice is
the way man is to approach GOD.
*Before, under the Old Testament or
Old covenant, a man who wanted a
right relationship with GOD
approached GOD through the
sacrifice an animal ‘s blood, the old
testament believers believed that
GOD accepted him because the
sacrifice of the animals.
*Now under the new testament,
which is the testament of grace, is
established and by which was ratified
and confirmed: and whereby all
blessing of it, such as peace, pardon
righteousness and eternal life come
to the people of GOD. The new
testament/ covenant, is exhibited
and established in the blood of JESUS
CHRIST , which the believer, believes
that GOD accepts him because of the
sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST as proclaim
by JESUS CHRIST:
This is my blood of the New
covenant, which is poured out for
many for the remission of sin
*A Man’s sins are forgiven and
become acceptable to GOD by
believing that JESUS CHRIST’S blood
was shed for him

HE HATH OBTAINED A MORE EXCELLENT MINISTRY
MEDIATOR A BETTER COVENANT (8)
The New Testament/ Covenant is founded on a
better promise, which is better covenant the old
covenant because of better promise.
The old Covenant is the
covenant of the law, GOD promise that he
would accept, bless, and fellowship with
man if he keep the law
EXODUS 24:1-8
The New covenant
eliminates the weakness of theOld covenant;
and if the first covenant is faultless there
would have been no need
That we can
commune and
fellowship with GOD
o That we can pray
and share with GOD
o That we can call upon GOD
when we need mercy and
grace to help at the time of
need
o That we can have GOD care
protection and provision
o That we can have GOD’S
delivering power over temptation
and trials
All and more because of the
new covenant brought to us by
JESUS CHRIST, which is he power
for a new covenant due to
Man failed to keep the
covenant or law and the law was
not able to infuse power to
keep the commandments.
Therefore, GOD had to do
something or else man would
be lost eternally, GOD did
something by the New
covenant “ I will make New
covenant” which differs entirely
from the old covenant made
with Israel whenGOD led them
out of Egyptian slavery under
Moses.
GOD rejected Israel because
they did not keep the old
covenant, this will certainly
means that he will reject us if
we do not keep the greater
covenant that focuses in his
SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST
of fellowship and
commune with
GOD through the
LORD JESUS
CHRIST, who is the
mediator of the
great covenant of
GOD

AND THEY SHALL
NOT TEACH
EVERY MAN HIS
NEIGHBOR
The power to
know GOD
personally and to
have open access
into his presence,
there is no longer
any need for
human priest or
mediators- No
need for others to
stand between
GOD and man to
say” Know the
LORD” why?
Because every
man can now
stand before GOD
himself.
Every person can
now approach
GOD, HOW ?, by
the NEW
Covenant through
the Mediator of
the new covenant,
through the LORD
JESUS CHRIST
This means the
the privilege to
know GOD is now
open to all race
THE NEW
COVENANT

The new
Covenant is an
inward power, a
spiritual power
within the inner
man
Which is a new
birth, when a
person
approaches GOD
through the new
covenant the
LORD JESUS
CHRIST- when
he accept the
term of the
New Covenant
(BELIEF )- GOD
does a most
wonderful
things:
§ GOD
renews
the
person’s
mind
and put
his laws
into the
person’s
mind
§ GOD
renews
the
person
heart
and
writes
his law
upon the
person
heart
That is a new
mind and heart
that will be
acceptable to
GOD and given
eternal life, it
means that we
shall be
delivered from
sin, corruption
and death of this
world and from
guilt, judgment
and
condemnation
of GOD in the
next world.
The new
Covenant frees
the heart and
stirs assurance
and confidence
in the mind of a
true believer
absolute
security
A new mind and
heart means
that we have the
desire and
power to follow
and obey GOD
and keep his
laws.
A new heart
and mid stirs us
to love GOD
because he
renew us and
love us and to
seek him
continually an
the new heart
stirs us to seek
for forgiveness
and to repent
and begin a new
life to follow and
obey JESUS
CHRIST.
THE NEW
COVENANT
The power of
fellowship and
commune with
GOD( I will be
their GOD and
they will be my
people) means
that we are
accepted by
GOD:
and nations of
people, the new
covenant is
universal.
They will all know
me, from the least
of them to the
greatest: The rich
and poor, black
and white, red
and yellow, leader
and follower,
believer and
unbeliever,
religious and non
religious, male
female, slave and
free, child and
adult- No matter
who they are or
where they are
all can now know
GOD and know
him face to face
*There is no
longer any priest
among men who
stands between
GOD and man,
there is only
JESUS CHRIST,
Mediator of the
new covenant and
better covenant
When a person
comes to GOD
through JESUS
CHRIST he is
accepted by GOD
and given the
glorious of
accessing HIM.

THE POWER TO
FORGIVE SIN
The forgiveness of
sin is based on the
mercy of GOD, we
are not forgiven
because of the
work or law, GOD
does not accept
us and forgive our
sins because of
we do the best we
can and try to be
good
He forgives our
sin because JESUS
died for our sins
because JESUS
CHRIS has already
paid the penalty
for sin and ask
GOD to forgive us
through the
sacrifice of JESUS
CHRIST
The forgiveness of
sin “means” that
GOD remember
our sins no more,
he completely
cast them out of
our memory
