RELIGION ON FAST:

The false religionist worship

and Fast hypocritical fast rather

than from a pure heart, just

mere gesture and symbols of

humiliation with unspiritual

frame of mind.

GOD, made it clear that any

religious act must come from

humble endeavor to obey his

commands and those who have

mercy/ compassion and reach

out to those in need

*The False religionist are more

concerned on weekly, monthly

and annual ritual of fasting, and

their hearts are far from GOD’S

love and compassion for the

needy

* Fasting was to be a private

matter between the Soul and

GOD not a public show

ISAIAH 58: 1-5

THE PRACTICE OF UNGODLY

AND VOID FAST

1)Cry aloud, spare not, lift

up thy voice like a trumpet,

and shew my people their

transgressions, and the

house of Jacob their sin

AND FORSOOK NOT THE

ORDINANCE OF THEIR GOD

(2) Yet they seek me daily,

and delight to know my

ways, as a nation that did

righteousness, and forsook

not the ordnance of their

God

(3) Wherefore have we

FASTED say they, and thou

seest not? Wherefore have

we afflicted our soul, and

thou takest no knowledge?

Behold in the days of your

THE BLESSING FROM A TRUE

AND GODLY FAST:

*A true Fast is to exercise

works of compassion, doing

good to those in distress

*Then after doing things from

verse 6-7, GOD blessing that

accompanied your benevolence

is as follows:

 2) Your righteousness

will go before you

 3)GOD’S glory will be

your rear guard

 4)Then you will call and

receive answer to

prayer

 7) your darkness will be

as the noon day

8)The LORD will guide

you continually

9)He will satisfy you in

drought

10)He will make your

bones fat

11)You will be like

watered garden

 12) You will be like an

unfailing spring of water

 13) Your waste place

will be built

 14)You will raise up the

foundations of many

generations

 15)You will be called,

the repairer of the

breach

 16)You will be called,

the restores of paths to

dwell in

17) I will cause you to

ride upon the high

places of the earth

(5) Is it such a FAST that I

have chosen? A day for a

man to afflict his soul? Is it to

bow down his head as a

bulrush, and to spread sack

cloth and ashes under him?

Wilt thou call this a FAST and

an acceptable day of the

Lord?

*Fasting is ritual, ceremonial

and man centered, if not

with God’s love, mercy,

compassion to the needy and

In all the 70 years of the captivity

what they did was from a selfish

motive, is not a fast directed by
