  PRACTICAL APPLICATION

ACTS 20:33-35
33) I have coveted no man’s
silver, or gold, or apparels
34)Yea, ye yourselves
know, that these hands
have ministered unto my
necessities ,and to them
that were with me
35)I have showed you all
things, how that so laboring
ye ought to support the
weak, and to remember the
words of the LORD JESUS,
how he said,it is more
blessed to give than to
receive
I HAVE NOT COVETED NO
MAN’S SILVER, GOLD OR
APPARELS
The believer is to give and
not to coveting worldly
wealth , Paul did not covert
worldly wealth, he did not
covert Silver, or gold or
clothing , just like Samuel in
1 SAMUEL 12:3-4, his mind
and thought were not
focused upon wordily
things,
Money
Property
Latest transportation
e.g. plane the best cars,
Clothing
He held no appeal in them
he has no cravings for them,
he has desire and
commitment :
1. For the kingdom of GOD
and his righteousness
2. Meeting the desperate
needs of the world
3. Delivering men out of
the slavery of sin
4. Sharing the gospel of life
everlasting
The preacher and teacher
of the Gospel must be
totally committed to sharing
the Gospel, and not only
committed in verbal
preaching and teaching, but
the spread of the Gospel
through the financial
support to others in need
PAUL labored to work, he
was a craftsman, a
tentmaker to do the
following:
*  To meet his own
necessities
* To help fellow ministers
serving with him
To help the weak and
poor
To be more like JESUS
which is not recorded in
the gospel, it is more
blessed to give than to
receive
JESUS gave to the fullest,
1) Covering nothing of this
a) World
2) Giving all he had to
others
3) Sacrificing his own life
for others

2)And be not conformed to
this world: but be
transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of GOD
AND BE NOT CONFORMED
TO THIS WORLD
Believers are not to be
conformed to the world,
they are not be fashioned
in the appearance of this
world
The fashion and appearance
of the world is a lie, a mask,
a masquerade, even the
very spirit of the world has
with in it is seed of
corruption, the seed of the
world is seen in the acts of
the world and its nature, in
terrible spirit of:
Selfishness, - Pride
Deceitfulness- Disease
Greed - hoarding
Covetousness
Wickedness
Falsehood- Disorder
Ignorance- Anger
Hatred- Sickness
Bitterness –
Deterioration
Death --- Suffering
Conflict
The believer is not to follow
after: the fellowship, the
evil desire, lust and the
way of the world, not to
follow after the god of this
world , Satan, and not to
follow after the leaders of
this world, and not to follow
after the deceitfulness of
riches and wealth of this
world, not follow the crowd
of this world and the
pleasure of the world
TRANSFORM THEIR MIND
The believers mind have to
be transformed, to be
renewed,, to readjust,
changes, turned around,
regenerated.
The mind of man that is
affected by sin, it
desperately to be renewed,
the mind is basically worldly
that is:
Selfish. Self-centered, self
seeking, centered on the
world, centered on the flesh
and centered on this life
Man’s mind has be come
unspiritual, carnal and
hostile to GOD. Man mind
has become blinded by
Satan; he cannot see the
light of the Gospel, man
mind is empty, he focused
upon earthly things, man
mind become corrupted,
defiled and wicked
THE MIND RENEWED
Be you regenerated, and
change your whole man;
beginning at the mind, by
which the Spirit of GOD
worked upon the internal
faculties of the Soul, which
is renewed by the presence
and image of JESUS CHRIST
in the life of the believer,
when a person receive the
LORD JESUS CHRIST as his
LORD and savior , the man is
spiritually born again, made
into a new self, a new
creature.
The believer is to love the
LORD with all his mind, the
beliver is to keep his mind in
the word of GOD, on
spiritual things, not
unspiritual,, or carnal things
, he should not to gratify the
cravings of his sinful nature,
his sinful desire and
thoughts, he should not live
as the world lives in the
futility of their thinking, he
is to made new in the
attitude of his mind, he
must allow the mind of
CHRIST be in him,by walking
humbly before GOD and
men, he must live by the
grace of GOD, which GOD
The only way a person can
ever find and follow GOD’S
will is to focus and keep his
mind upon GOD and upon
the things of GOD
I TIMOTHY 6:6-7
6) But godliness with
contentment is great gain
7)For we brought nothing
into this world, and it is
certain we can carry nothing
out
The false teachers are
driven by underlining
motive of greed and
financial gain taught that
their wealth was a sign of
GOD approval of their
teaching, but it was clearly
stated that what is really
great gain is godliness that
genuine fear and love of
GOD, and obedience to his
will, brings unspeakable
profit in time as well as in
eternity and indeed is the
only true abiding gain with
contentment, which is the
state of mind; a calm and
satisfied feeling a freedom
of murmuring and

complaining which is
connected with contended
mind; for all other gain is
perishing and decays.
FOR WE BROUGHT
NOTHING INTO THIS
WORLD, GO WITH
NOTHING
We leave this world just as
we entered it, with nothing,
the secret of contentment is
not money, for the rich
cheat and hoard their
money, and the rest of
mankind seeking to get
more and more money,
money and wealth can not
bring contentment.
Every earthly possession is
only meant for this life- for
the period between the
hour of birth and the hour
of death we enter the world
with nothing , we bring no
property with us into the
world, no clothing, no
jewels, no gold, no money
no hours and cars, and it is
equally clear that we can
take nothing with us when
we leave the earth, we shall
all leave the world again
with nothing
1 TIMOTHY 6:8-10
6)And having food and
raiment let us be therewith
content
9)But they that will be rich
fall into temptation and a
snare, and into many foolish
and hurtful lusts which
drown men in destruction
and perdition
10) For the love of money is
the root of all evil; which
while some coveted after,
they have erred from the
faith, and pierced
themselves through with
many sorrows
BELIEVERS should be
content with basic of food,
clothing and shelter, if
special financial needs arise,
we must look unto GOD to
provide, while we continue
to work to help those in
need and serve GOD with
generous giving, believers
are not to be driven by the
desire to get rich as the
love of money is the root of
all evil.
The rich are far more
tempted to indulge the
flesh sinful nature and to
live extravagantly and
selfishly to control and
dominate people their
power of their wealth,
money can cause many
foolish and harmful desire
to fed our desire and lust
with the things, possession,
cars budling and delicacies
of this world when million
upon million are hopeless
and helpless and going to
bed hungry, cold and sick,
all dying from lack of food,
clothing’s, shelter, and
disease and dying without
JESUS CHRIST and without
any hope of living eternally
with GOD
Money plunges man into
ruin and destruction as
man:
  •  Crave and Crave
  •  Lust and Lust
  • Hoard and Hoard
  •  Covet and covet
  •  Secure and secure
  •  Possess and possess
The love of money causes
people to covet, and
covetousness is idolatry
1) The love of money
causes people to
wander away from faith
2) The love of money
causes people to piece
themselves with many
griefs
The things, possessions and
lust of this world do not
satisfy nor fulfill a person’s
heart and life, money only
consumes and eat a person
with grief. Money cannot
buy GOD, it cannot buy
assurance nor the
confidence for living
forever.
1 TIMOTHY 6:17-19
17) Charge them that are
rich in this world, that they
be not high-minded, nor
trust in uncertain riches, but
in the living GOD, who
giveth us richly all things to
enjoy
18)That they do good, that
they berich in good works,
ready to distribute, willing
to communicate
19) Laying up in store for
themselves a good
foundation against the time
to come, that they may lay
hold on eternal life
CHARGE THEM THAT ARE
RICH IN THIS WORLD
The rich man is commanded
,not to be high-minded,
proud, or arrogant and think
too high of himself, that he
begin to feel of other
people and to esteem
himself above others, just
because he is rich, he must
guide against more
important than others,
riches and possession do
not make a person a good
person, therefore
possession do not make a
person better, of more
quality than anyone.
The rich man is not to trust
in the uncertainty of riches,
riches are the most
uncertain thing in life, there
should not put their hope in
wealth
The rich person is to trust in
GOD , who is the giver of
the riches, the rich persons
is to do good and be rich in
good works or deeds, the
deed of the rich man is to
distribute his wealth and be
generous with it.
Too many rich people shut
their eyes and ears when
they hear this, they turn
their attention elsewhere
for they don’t want to
commit their money to the
ravaging poor and needy
who can not pay them back
in line with the word of GOD
LUKE 14:13-14

The rich man is to lay up his
wealth for the world to
come eternal life :
By distributing and giving
generously and sacrificially
By using their wealth to do
good and be ready to share
by work ond charity.
If a person who is rich, does
not reach out and save the
starving person and give life
to him, how can the rich
person expect GOD to give
life to him in the next
world? the only way any of
us who GOD gave wealth,
can lay hold to eternal life is
to give life to those who are
lost dying in sin and
deprived of this world
PROVERBS 23:4-5
4)Labor not to be rich;
cease from thine own
wisdom
5)Wilt thou set thine eyes
upon that which is not? For
riches certainly make
themselves wings; they fly
away as an eagle towards
heaven
LABOR NOT TO BE RICH
Do not wear yourself out
trying to get rich, as many
covetous men do, the raise
an estate and make thy
property abundantly more
than it is, life is more than
money and possession, yet
many people become
completely consumed with
the pursuit of worldly
treasures, it became the
purpose and drive behind
their labor
FROM THINE OWN
WISDOM
From that carnal wisdom
which is worldly in getting
rich, in laying schemes,
forming projects, inventing
new things in order to get
money, which is natural to
man in his corrupt estate,
which persuades men to
believe that it is their
interest to use all possible
means to get rich, and that
the happiness of their lives
consists in the abundance of
their possessions.
WILL THOU SET THINE EYES
ON THAT WHICHIS NOT
FOR RICHES SURELY MAKE
THEMSELVES WINGS
Do not lift up thine eyes to
riches which thou canst not
which are not true riches,
have only the shadow and
appearance of riches, they
are not lasting or durable, in
a little time they will not be:
they are perishing things,
they have no substance in
them, they don’t give one
real happiness the mind and
the affection of our heart
should not be set on them.
For riches certainly make
themselves wings,
No sooner they are either
men are taken from it,
sometime very swiftly and
suddenly, the reason
wealth is flying away ever so
quickly, money is like a bird;
when you begin to look and
focus on it, it flies away, it
cannot be caught, and it
cannot be called back, it is
here one moment and gone
the next, we should be
contend with what we have,
the LORD taught that the
desire for worldly
possession debars us from
bearing fruits for the
kingdom
MATTHEW 13:22
PROVERBS 27:24
24)For riches are not for
ever and doth the crown
endure to every generation
FOR RICHES ARE NOT
FOREVER
Wealth does not last for
ever, riches broadly
represent earthly presence
of all earthly possessions,
they do not endure and
cannot be relied upon,
Once money is spent is gone
Possession deteriorate with
time or can be stolen ,
nothing is entirely secured,
even nation and
government, the king,
governor and ruler nor
political system , cannot
guarantee their continued
rule forever, nothing is
permanent they are all
subject to change.
Believer must focus on
enduring riches, that is rich
towards GOD, for the riches
which endures unto
everlasting life, which the
SON of man shall give unto
us ,for in him hath GOD
sealed JOHN 6:26
PROVERBS 28:20
20)A faithful man shall
abound with blessings; but
he that maketh haste to be
rich shall not be innocent
A FAITHFUL MAN SHALL BE
ABOUND WITH BLESSING
One on whom one can
depend, upright, honest,
who is true to GOD and
Man, who deals truly and
justly in all his bargains and
transactions , fulfill his
contracts, abides by the
obligations he lays himself
under, is faithful in every
trust repose on him, be it
greater or lesser matters, in
every station in which it is,
and throughout the whole
course of his life, such a
man abounds with blessings
and praise of men; all value
him, and speak well of him:
and with the blessing of
divine providence: he is

much in blessing so in give
to men that is in need, who
is usually generous and
giving.
The covetous disobeyed
GOD and are judged, due to
unhealthy and intense
craving for riches causes to
be unfaithful to GOD, those
who are greedy for gains
often resort to schemes,
and pursues every method
of obtaining his desire, with
all might, that are
dishonest, dishonoring to
GOD and dishonest to his
principles, by unlawful
means to acquire wealth
and result to be rich ,as a
result they face all kinds of
trouble and will eventually
be punished before GOD or
man
