(NIV)
17) if anyone has material
possessions and sees his
brother in need but has no
pity on him, how can the love
of GOD be in him
THE SHUTTET UP HIS
BOWELS OF COMPASSION
And shutteth up his bowel
of compassion from him,
hardens his heart, turns away
his eyes, and shuts his hand;
has no tenderness in him for,
nor sympathy with his
distressed brethren
BOWELL OF COMPASSION
The bowel of compassion
represent the heat, the seat
of mercy, piety and
compassion
COMPASSION:
The internal organs, including
the heart of pity mercy and
caring
1 JOHN 3:17
17) But whoso has this
world’s goods, and sees his
brother have need, and shuts
up his bowels of compassion
from him, how dwells the
love of god in him?
GODS LOVE: Is expressed by
sincerely helping persons in
need, that is by sharing out
earthly possession with them
THEY SHUTS UP THE BOWEL
OF COMPASSION
Is to refuse to give of our
food, clothing, housing or
money to help others in real
need is to close our heart to
them
*Love has compassion and
gives to meet the needs of
people
*A believer must show
himself by action ,by turning
his attention to the most
direct evidence of
compassion toward the
needy
THE BOWEL OF
COMPASSION
For if bound for our
neighbors, how much are we
bound to help them in need
with our goods and
substance,
To open our heart to him and
help him willingly and
cheerfully
1 JOHN 4:20
CHAPTER REFERENCE
1:4:12
no man has seen GOD at any
time if we love one another,
GOD dwells in us, and his
love is perfect in us
1 JOHN 2:4
He that said, I know him,
and keep not his
commandments, is a liar and
the truth is not in him
1 JOHN 2:9-11
But if any one keep his
words, the love of GOD has
been truly perfected in him,
by this we know that we are
in him
1 JOHN 3:23
And this is his
commandment, that we
should believe on the name
of his Son JESUS CHRIST, and
love one another, as he gave
us commandments
MATHEW 22: 36-37
36) Teacher, which
commandment is the
greatest in the law
37) JESUS said unto him,
thou shalt love the the LORD
thy GOD with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind
38) This is the first and great
commandments
39) And the second is like
unto it, thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself
40) On these two
commandments hang all the
Law and the prophets
JOHN 13:24
A new commandment I give
unto you, that ye love one
another as i have love you,
that ye also love one another
JOHN 15:17
This is my commandment to
you love one another

Be indebted to no one,
except to one another in
love, for he who loves his
neighbor has fulfilled the law

For the whole law is fulfilled
in one word, even in this; you
shall love your neighbor as
thyself.
20) If a man say, I love GOD
and hateth his brother, he is
a liar; for he that loveth not
his brother whom he hath
seen, how can he love GOD
whom he hath not seen?
21) And this commandment
have we from him, that he
who loveth GOD love his
brother also.
As he showed that the love
of our neighbor cannot be
separated from the love with
GOD loves us because this
last gives rise to the other.
*So he denies that the other
kind of love with which we
love GOD, can be separated
from the love of our
neighbor; of which it follows,
that they who say they
worship GOD, and yet do not
regard their neighbors lies
shamelessly
*We cannot hate our
neighbor and love GOD, that
is, because he that cannot
love his brother whom he
sees, how can he love GOD
whom he cannot see
ONE WHO LOVES GOD LOVES
HIS BROTHER
And this commandment
have we from him, that he
who loves GOD loves his
brother also
Why GOD cannot be hated
and our neighbor loved, but
to love GOD and our
neighbor.

hot, and I will kill you with
the sword; and your wives
shall be widows and your
children fatherless.
You shall not afflict any
widow and if they are weak
protect the widow or
fatherless child, who have no
friends, husband or father
you must be on their side
and protect them and defend
them
*If thou afflict them in any
wise, in any way or by any
means whatever; their
minds, by accusations, insult
false imprisonment by
holding their substance
belonging to them, or
cheating and defrauding
them, taking what they have,
and they cry at all to me, in
prayers I will surely hear their
cry; I will take notice of their
cries and return an answer
to them by appearing on
their side and avenging their
injuries
*For GOD is the FATHER of
the fatherless and the
husband of the widows.
