MATTHEW 5:10
|
10)Blessed are they which
are persecuted for
righteousness sake for
theirs is the kingdom of
heaven
|
PERSECUTED
Which have been persecuted, all who
seek to live in harmony with the word
of GOD for the sake of righteousness:
Ø Those who uphold GOD’S
standards of truth, justice and
purity
Ø Those who refuse to
compromised with the present
evil society of lifestyles of the
lukewarm believers
who are harassed, hunted, spoiled, the
condition of temporal loss to which they
have been reduced by such persecution,
they have suffered the loss possibly of
all things, but are blessed, the fact that
they have endured persecution, and still
stand firm .
The men of the world judge those men
very unhappy, band miserable whom
their rulers make object of their anger
and malice and pursue violence, to the
loss of their liberties or lives, never
considering the cause for which they are
so pursued by such violence, and
hunted.
JOHN 15:18-20 clearly states, If the
world hate you, ye know that it hated
me before it hated you,
If you are of the word, the world would
love his own; but because ye are not of
the world but I have chosen you the
world, therefore the world hateth you,
Remember the word that I said unto
you, the servant is not greater than his
LORD, if they have persecuted me, they
will also persecute you; if they have kept
my saying, they will keep yours also

Every one that do evil hate the light,
neither cometh to the light, lest his
deeds should be reproved, because I
testify of the works therefore are evil, if
you are of the world, the world would
love his own; but because ye are not of
the world, but have chosen you out of
the world, therefore the world hate you
For the sake of JESUS CHRIST and a
good conscience for their steady belief
and profession of, and adherence to any
article of Christian faith, for their
performance of any duty, which they
owe to GOD, their neighbor, or
themselves, or for their obedience to the
commandment of GOD
FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
SAKE
Because they are righteous, or are the
friend of GOD, the believer are not to
provoke strange emotions or conduct;
by violating the laws of civil society, or
by mode of speech that are
unnecessarily offensive to others,
but in the honest effort to live the life of
believer, and if we persecuted we will
count it as blessing as to righteousness,
that all that live godly in CHRIST JESUS
shall suffer persecution
Believers must beware of the
temptation not to compromise GOD will
to avoid shame,, loss, embarrassment
2 TIMOTY 3:12
THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
Those who suffer and endure
persecution because of righteousness
are promised the kingdom of heaven,
they have evidence that they are
believers, and that they will be brought
to heaven

so persecuted they the

MEN REVILE THEM- Should speak very
reproachfully of you call you by evil and
contemptuous names, ridicule you
falsely, because you are a believer
,brand you, disrepute and load you with
disgrace; and persecute you from place
to place by ill-usage of all sorts and shall
say all manner of evil against you falsely.
When men shall unjustly and injuriously
reproach you; abuse you in your face
and say all manner of evil against you,
falsely because you are a believer in
JESSUS CHRIST, which do not exclude the
believers from reproach and persecution
they should endured for CHRIST sake
We are not to seek such things, we are
not to do things that will offend others,
to treat them harshly or unkindly ,
FALSELY AGAINST YOU FOR MY SAKE
Because you are attached and belongs
to me, and believe in, and love, obey
and follow JESUS CHRIST, let not this
Load of dishonor and oppression
discouragement cast you down, but
rather rejoice and be exceedingly glad or
exult with accomplishment for great is
your REWARD IN HEAVEN
Such a patient and cheerful suffering of
persecution for JESUS CHRIST sake in the
life, will certainly be rewarded with the
glory and blessedness of the life to come
REJOICE AND BE EXCEEDING GLAD
SO PERSECUTED THEY THE PROPHETS
REJOICE is a command that grows from
out of the blessedness of the believer,
the believer to regard it as a privilege
thus to be persecuted and to suffer.
rejoice and be exceeding glad means
great is your reward in the kingdom of
heaven, your reward will be great in the
future world .
FOR SO PERSECUTED THEY THE
PROPHETS BEFORE YOU

The rulers of the Jew, persecute and the
rest of the prophets :
Zechariah- the son of Jehoiada (2
CHRONICLES 24:21), JEREMAIH
(Jeremiah 11:21, Jeremiah 20:2
Isaiah , which show that will befall them
is not a new and strange thing but what
had been the measure of the most
eminent servant of GOD in former ages

THE BEATITUDES ARE FOLLOWED BY THE
SUMMARY OF CHARACTERS OF BELIEVER’S
LIFE AS SALT AND LIGHT; OF THE EARTH AND
WORLD
YE ARE SALT OF THE WORLD
Salt renders food pleasant and palatable,
and preserves from decomposition, so
believers by their lives are to keep the
world from entire moral corruption.
The believer as the Salt is valuable to
give flavor and to preserve from
corruption, which is the godly example
in the world and must resist the moral
decay and corruption evident in society
Appointed to be the means of
preventing or curing the growth of that
corruption, which is prevails in the
world.
BUT IF THE SALT HAVE LOST HIS SAVOR
If the believer makes no effort to affect
the world around them, they are of little
value to GOD, if believers are too much
like the world, they are worthless,
believers should not blend with
everyone else, instead, we should affect
others positively, just as seasoning
brings out the best flavor in food.
That indicates that the believer is
genuinely born again, regenerated
person is salt and can help meet the
world’s need, as Salt add flavor, act as
preservatives, cleansing from decay and
heal wounds, which reflects the true live
of the believer in the world

14)Ye are the light of the
world, a city that is set on
a hill cannot be his
|
The effect of the light being to make
manifest and to direct us in the way in
which we are to walk, in particular , to
enlighten and reform the world,
occupied in ignorance, sin and sadness
by their doctrine and example; and so to
direct their feet into the way leading to
life and salvation
The attractive quality of the believer’s
lives will draw others people to live
similar live and glorify GOD, if we live for
CHRIST, we will luminate like light,
showing other what is like,
A CITY THAT IS SET ON A HILL CANNOT
BE HID
The believer should not hid this light
from mankind, but cause it to shine forth
in your doctrine and practice, it will be
so clear and glorious that it will not
possible to hid.
if we hide our light by being quite when
we are supposed to speak, not
expanding the light to others, ignoring
the need of others by shutting your light
from the rest of the world, we will
