11) He that tilleth his land shall
be satisfied with bread; but he
that followeth vain person is void
of understanding
HE THAT TILLETH HIS LAND SHALL BE
SATISFIED WITH BREAD
The wise work diligently and provide
adequately for his needs, GOD has ordained
that people’s need be met through their
labor, those who work diligently will have all
they need, that employed his time and
strength in an honest calling, work or
business will have sufficiency of it to eat
BUT THAT FOLLOW VAIN PERSON
That neglects his business, loiters away his
time, spend it in the company of useless,
empty and unprofitable persons as he show
himself by such a choice as people who
spends their energy on schemes to make
money that are vain- worthless and empty,
looking for ways to get rich quick.
The wise though work diligently at tasks
that are productive and profitable, that will
be assured their needs are met, people who
work their land, who till, plant, weed, water,
and harvest, will have food, they are
investing their time and resources in
something that is sure to provides for their
needs

4) The soul of the sluggard
desireth, and hath nothing; but
the soul of the diligent shall be
made fat
THE SOUL OF THE SLUGGARD/ LAZY
The diligent prosper and are satisfied, Lazy
people have few desires fulfilled and
achieve very little in life.
He has the wish, but not the will, and
empty wish without corresponding action is
useless, as he content himself with lazy
desire without diligent endeavors, he desire
knowledge, but does not care to be at any
pain to get it, and has not; he desire riches,
but chooses not to make use of means, to
be diligent and industrious, he desire to
wear good clothes and rich garment , but is
unwilling to labour for them, and therefore
clothes with rags, he desire food and plenty
of it, but refuse to work for it, the gospel say
if you don’t work you should not eat.
BUT THE SOUL OF THE DILIGENT SHALL BE
MADE FAT
Such who are diligent in the use of means,
constantly attend on the word and
ordinance, and labor for the meat which
endures to eternal life such are filled and
satisfied, and become fat and flourishing,
and fruitful in every good work, he shall be
enriched with the fruit of his own labor

19)The way of the slothful man
is as a hedge of thorns; but the
way of the righteous is made
plain

THE WAY OF THE SLOTHFUL /LAZY MAN
The indolent slothful/lazy man is always
finding or imaging difficulties and hindrance
in his part, which serves as excuse for his
Laziness, perplexed and full of such
difficulties that he cannot remove himself
on his own worry, seem insurmountable
that discourage him from attempting it ,
being like breaking through thorns , fence,
as which he can not force his way ,due to
lack of diligence commitment and do not act
uprightly ,who fail to fulfill the duty common
to man and his special calling.
THE RIGHTEOUS WAY IS MADE PLAIN
The upright man, who treads the path
appointed for him resolutely and trustfully
find all difficulties vanish; before him the
thorns yield a passage; and that which the
sluggard regards as dangerous and
impassable becomes to him as the king’s
highway.
The upright righteous and good man, finds
the ways by diligence with no difficulty is
made plain: who is always hardworking in
his calling.
PROVERBS 18:9
9)He also that is slothful in his
work is brother to him that is a
great waster
HE ALSO THAT IS SLOTHFUL/ LAZY IN HIS
WORK
He that is slothful\lazy in his work, slack,
negligent , a man that does his work in some
sort, but not heartily and diligent, and hang
down his hands and does not care to make
use of them but neglect his business: is a
brother that is great waster, a prodigal man
who spends his substance in riotous living,
which bring him to poverty and want.

15)Slothfulness casteth into a
deep sleep; and an idle soul shall
suffer hunger
SLOTHFULNESS CASTE INTO DEEP SLEEP
A lazy person are generally sleepy, and are
desirous of sleep, and indulge themselves in
it, they spend their time, day and night, in
sleep and drowsiness and are quite careless
and unconcerned and sleep in business ,
render him useless for labor as if were
actually asleep in his bed
As labor makes men vigorous and rich, so
sloth and idleness have sunk the mind into a
dull stupidity and unconcerned about the
most necessary things, and thereby reduce a
man to extreme want and begging
AND AN IDLE SOUL SHALL SUFFER HUNGER
The idle person that will not work, ought
not to eat; and an idle soul, of one that is
unconcerned about his soul, and the
spiritual food of it shall perish for want of it
PROVERBS 20:4
4)The sluggard will not plow by
reason of the cold; therefore
shall he beg in harvest, and have
nothing
THE SLUGGARD/LAZY WILL NOT PLOW BY
REASON OF THE COLD
He hates the cold weather which is
discouraging to the sluggard/lazy man, and
avoids all laborious and difficult work,
although his own necessity and interest
oblige him to do,
Therefore he shall beg in the time of
harvest, he shall ask of those who have
ploughed and sowed, reaping and gathering
in their increase at harvest; but they shall
not give him, for such that will not work
should not eat; and if a man will not plough
and sow, he cannot expect to reap.
