Pharisees, saying, is it lawful
to heal on the Sabbath day?

and he took him, and healed

have a ass or an ox fallen into
a pit, and will not straightway
pull him out on the Sabbath

THE RELIGIONIST AND THEIR
ERROR
The religionist is looking for
error, they overlook what
was really needful, they did
not see the need of the man,
who is desperately in need.
Religionist fail to see the
need of man and to reach
out to help him, they make
their religion more important
than healing the man
JESUS saw a unique
opportunity to teach a much
needed truth; the truth that
healing and helping a needy
man is more important than
religion of ceremony, rules ,
rituals .
*How many believers and
churches have nice houses
and buildings and plenty of
food, yet their own
communities or cities are full
of needy people who are
hungry and unclothed and
unsheltered
How many within the church
ever see the needful And
how many overlook the
needful.
The religionist are always
putting their form and
practice of religion before
meeting the healing needs of
men, people can be
desperately in need within a
few kilometers of a church,
yet the religionist will shelter
their religious service for a
few hours each week no
matter the cost while so
many never without roof
over their head have no
shelter
They Will observe their
worship and rituals, their
rules and ceremonies
without ever reaching out to
help those who surround
them that are in such a
desperate need of love and
mercy
The religionist refuse to see
millions dying of starvation
and disease, from war, 11
nature and spiritual
ignorance and eternal death
and focus on:
- Building newer
building to be used
only hours a week
- Stress attendance to
church service instead
of stressing CHRIST
- Preach and teach
physical well-being
instead of spiritual
salvation and peace
of heart and mind
- Covet the latest
styles in cars and
clothing, hairdo’s and
furnishings
- Desire better house
and positions more
pay and security

COMPASSION
JESUS seek to reach out to
every man’s compassion,
offering help, which is heart
warming, touching revealing
that he can reach out to
everyone
THE IMPOTENT MAN
ANSWERED
I am poor as well as lame,
and unable to hire any one to
put me into the pool when
the water is troubled and I
have neither friend nor
relation to do this kind
service for me he gives
reason why he was not made
whole. Notwithstanding his
desire, while I am coming,
another steppeth down
before me- he signifies that
he had made many efforts to
get into the pool, but
hitherto without success ,
one always prevents him;
and none having the love to
help, every one for it self no
one to show mercy and
kindness from any one .
The man plight is that he
had been that way for thirty
eight (38)years and JESUS
initiated the relationship,
approaching the man and
reaching out to him to help
him from the enslave to sin ,
corruption and desperate
need of the world
The believer must try to seek
to help out those who are
really in need
THE DEAD RELIGION AND
SABBATH DAY WORSHIP
Dead religion is a religion of
legalism, which is rule,
regulation, ceremony and
ritual centered, they are
more concerned with those
who are violating the rules
and regulation of Sabbath
than the man who is
suffering from painful
condition
The religionist care only
about their religious
practices they did not see the
good that has been done,
they were threatened and a
need to continue to preserve
their position, their security.
Dead religion is the religion
that is blind to LOVE and
GOOD

the FATHER; and ye on the
Sabbath day circumcise a
man
23)If a man on the Sabbath
day receive circumcision, that
the law of Moses should not
be broken are ye angry at

24)Judge not according to
the appearance, but judge

THE RELIGIONIST
MISCONCEPTION ABOUT
SABBATH
Doing good proves whether
a man is full of evil or good,
healing a crippled man, was a
good work not evil.
*The religious leader
(Religionist) criticize JESUS
for healing the crippled man
on a Sabbath day that was
working on a Sabbath day
that is why they are opposing
him.
*They were meeting a man’s
religion and ceremonial
needs with focus on rituals
not doing good and saving
souls.
*JESUS said the religionist,
interpreting the law of
sabbath by allowing a work
on necessity to be done by
circumcising on the Sabbath
day , as you allow the
circumcision on Sabbath day,
you also ought to allow, for
the same reason, to allow
that a man of thirty eight (38)
years disease should be
completely restore to health,
that a work more important
will be done on Sabbath day
*JESUS wanted all men,
even the religionist, to see
the truth, he was the son of
GOD who had come to save
men and nations and to
correct and set religion
straight
JUDGE NOT ACCORDING TO
APPEARANCE
But judge righteous
judgment, give sense and
judgment of things,
according to the truth and
evidence of them; and do not
find fault, with that which
you allowed
*JESUS said judge not
persons and condemn NOT,
but to look realistically ,
honestly, and objectively you
will see righteousness, full of
good deeds , indeed the
performance of a greater
than that of and sanctifying
the Sabbath.

not the Sabbath day, others
said, how can a man that is

DELIVERED FROM DARKNESS
TO LIGHT
A MAN CALLED JESUS: MADE
CLAY AND ANOINT MINE
EYES AND I RECEIVE MY
SIGHT
The blind man had been
delivered from darkness and
given sight by the mercy and
compassion of the LORD
JESUS CHRIST.
THE SABBATH DAY HEALING
The spiritual sight is seeing
JESUS as a Helper and a
Healer, the delivered man
was brought
The man was brought before
the religionist council and he
confessed he was blind, but
now he could see.
The religionist are not
concerned with his eye; by
putting on the clay, and
sending him to wash
reckoned a violation of the
Sabbath, and opened his
eyes; by putting on the day,
and sending him to wash in
the pool of Siloam; nor did
the miracle, nor the good
done to the man, excuse with
them, what they thought a
breach of the Sabbath
THE PHARISEES, THIS MAN IS
NOT FROM GOD, BECAUSE
HE KEEP NOT THE SABBATH
The religionist- This is not of
GOD is not sent by GOD
because he keepeth not the
Sabbath-day this they
concluded from making clay
of spittle, and spreading it on
the blind man;s eyes, which
was contrary to the traditions
of their elders: one of whose
rules and regulation is that it
is forbidden to put clay on a
eye lid on a Sabbath day as
concerning their rituals,
while the main thing of doing
good and saving soul are
neglected

PURE RELIGION AND
UNDEFILED BEFORE GOD
The believers to visit the
fatherless (orphan) and
widow in their affliction and
to keep himself unsupported
from the world:
*That pure religion will lead
to a life of practical
compassion,
to go to see, to look after, to
be ready to aid comforting,
counselling them
IN THEIR AFFLICTION: when
they had most need
The believer must restrain
himself from the ills and men
of the world, lust of the
world,
