for it shall be given you in
that same hour what ye
shall speak
20)For it is not ye that

TAKE NO THOUGHT HOW
OR WHAT YE SHALL SPEAK
Take no thought, that is , be
not anxious or unduly
worried, but now, when
they delivering you up when
it actually takes place, give
yourselves concern, do not
at any moment be anxious,
this was a full promise that
they should be inspired, and
was a most suitable
consolation, to the poor and
ignorant, and obscure
fishermen the Galilean
disciples, who are
“unlearned and ignorant
men” standing before those
who were counted so much
their superiors in power and
knowledge , they being of
low education , and wholly
unacquainted with the laws
of different countries they
might be terrified at the
thought of appearing before
kings, governors, and other
persons of distinction, and
might
Not to be anxious
concerned, neither as to the
matter, or manner of what
they should say in their
defense; they should have
no occasion, as orators do,
to take pains, and rack their
thoughts, to prepare a
studied, elaborate oration,
dressed with all flowers of
rhetoric’s, fullfed with the
most powerful arguments
and elegance, a believer is
never left alone defending
himself against persecution,
GOD normally gives the
answer by the Holy Spirit
FOR IT SHALL BE GIVEN IN
THE SAME HOUR
Immediate assistance
should be afforded them
either by His FATHER, or
Himself or the Holy Spirit,
who will suggest unto them,
at once, things, the most
proper manner, and these
are the most convincing
arguments, and the best
articulation, which the Spirit
of GOD helps them, these
vastly exceed all the art of
men, and strength of
nature, this was greatly
verified in Peter and John,
two poor fishermen, when
before the council, and
Stephen
IT IS NOT YOU THAT SPEAK
It is not you that speak, but
the Spirit of the your
FATHER which speaks in
you, the Holy Spirit shall
influence your thoughts as
to the matter, and suggest
that to you, and it shall
influence your tongue,
giving you utterance as
dictated by the Spirit of
GOD; for as the preparation
of the heart in them so the
answer of the tongue, by
them were from the LORD,
the Spirit, He was the
efficient source they are
only instrument: what they
should say was not to be
dictated by their own Spirit
or natural understanding,
nor angel, but by the Spirit
of GOD, He is called the
Spirit of the FATHER
because He proceeds from
Him, He has the same
nature with HIM

speaketh a word aginst the
son of man, it shall be

whosoever speaketh aginst

ALL MANNER OF SIN AND
BLASPHEMY SHALL BE
FORGIVEN
BUT THE BLASPHEMY
AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN
The sin that shall not be
forgiven is the stubborn
refusal to heed the Holy
Spirit’s conviction and
accept the salvation that
CHRIST offers,, the
Pharisees had blasphemed
against the Holy Spirit by
attribution the power by
which CHRIST did miracles
to Satan, it is unforgiveable
it is done maliciously and
knowingly MATTHEW 12:24
instead of the Holy Spirit,
the Pharisees attribute it to
Satan , it is an unpardonable
sin, it is the deliberate
refusal to acknowledge
GOD’S power in CHRIST, it
was therefore a direct
insult, abuse, or evil
speaking against the Holy
Spirit, the Spirit by which
JESUS worked His miracles,
it indicates a deliberate and
irreversible hardness of
heart, who so ever reject
the prompting of the Holy
Spirit removes himself or
herself from the only Spirit
that can lead him or her to
repentance and restoration
to GOD
To condemn CHRIST as a
gluttonous man, and wine
bibber, as breaking the
Sabbath, was to speak a
word to the SON, their sin
be forgiven , these offence
might be sins of ignorance,
One sin for which there is
no forgiveness is not sin
against CHRIST but sin
against the Holy Ghost, the
simple reason is the Holy
Spirit that works in the
heart of man; it is He who
convicts the world of guilt,
in regard to righteousness
and judgment
JOHN 16:8-11 conviction is
the work of the Holy Spirit,
a man sees, feels or hears
about GOD’S goodness and
love and of his own need to
surrender to GOD, the Holy
Spirit convicts a man’s heart
to believe and man may go
on insisting on his own and
surrenders his lifeway,
refusing to acknowledge
GOD and surrender his life
to GOD, choosing to be
blind to what he sees, feels
and hear, so a man become
so hardened that he cannot
recognize GOD’S truth and
goodness, he reaches such a
point of hardness that he no
longer sees GOD or feel
GOD or hear GOD, this man
has blasphemed GOD’S
Spirit , he has rejected,
abuse, neglected, ignored to
the prompting of GOD’S
Spirit , he has blasphemed
GOD Spirit permanently all
sin is forgiven except the
blasphemy against the Spirit
of GOD is not forgiven in
this world and the next
world, this world, there will
be no sense of forgiveness,
in the next world, a person
will stand guilty before GOD

the whole multitude: and
they chose Stephen a man
full of faith and of the Holy
Ghost, and Phillip, and
prochorous, and Nicanor,
and Timon, and Parmenas,
and Nicolas a proselyte of
Antioch
LOOK YOU OUT AMONG
YOU SEVEN MEN OF
HONEST REPORT
The Apostles stipulated
that the seven men had to
be honest , men they could
confide in, who are
trustworthy, would be free
from suspicion and will not
be partial , because of the
Grecians and Jews see that
justice is done and no
further cause of complaint,
nor could it ever be charged
on them that they wished to
embezzle the funds by
managing it themselves ,
and give evidence of having
continued faithfully under
the influence of the Holy
Spirit, which apparently the
apostles assumed that not
all believers continued to be
full of the Holy Spirit,
they were to be men, that
had the Spirit of GOD in
them, the term “full of the
Holy Ghost and fill with the
Holy Ghost expresses a
continuing quality of
Spiritual life in the believer
that results from
experiencing the Holy Spirit
fullness and that enables
them to Minister in the
power of the Holy Spirit and
speak under inspiration as
the Spirit gives utterance,
after the initial reception of
the baptism in the Holy
Spirit, individuals who
faithfully walk in the Spirit
by putting to death the
misdeeds of the flesh, may
be described as full of the
Holy Ghost, that is
maintaining the abiding
fullness of the Holy Spirit
especially Stephen and the
others, those who the
fullness of the Spirit, may
receive a fresh filling with
the Spirit for Divine task to
speak under the impulse of
the Holy Spirit
FULL OF WISDOM
Able to discern, see
through, make right
judgment, so as to handle
the division that had arisen
as a result of the complaint
OVER THIS BUSINESS
That is over the distribution
of the alms, solely to take
care of the fund of charity,
and distribute them to
supply the need of the poor
and widows, the office is to
be distinguished from that
of “preaching the gospel, to
that the apostle were to

GIVE OURSELVE TO PRAYER
AND MINISTERING OF THE
WORD
To preach the gospel, or
communicating the
message of eternal life to
the world, believer must
constantly devote
themselves to prayer and
to preaching the word, be
steadfast and constantly,
the Ministering of the word
and prayer were the highest
work of believer, it in
prayer that the believer
reaches up and talks to
GOD, the believer must
plead with GOD daily
seeking GOD and what GOD
want to say to him
AND THEY CHOOSE
STEPHEN

The seven who were
chosen all bear Greek
names, it seems likely that
all are Hellenists, and
descended from Jewish
parents, but born in foreign
countries, they either
because the Jew generously
voted to be given special
representative of their own,
to guide against the unfair
distribution , and show
excellent spirit, there was
clearly no thought of
neglecting any, they chose
Stephen a man full of faith
in CHRIST and of Holy Ghost
and to , that is endured with
extraordinary grace of the
Holy Spirit, in a high degree
the most eminent person
among and Philip the
evangelist,

and convincing, both the

convicted
It can either cause a person
to turn to GOD, confessing
his sin, or cause a person to
react against GOD, they
were cut in the heart, they
rebelled against Stephen
message , were exceedingly
enraged and outraged, the
whole course of the speech
had been such as to excite
their anger, and now they
could no more restrain
themselves any longer they
expressive of the bitterness
and malignity of their
feeling, they were full of
fury and indignation against
him
BEING FULL OF THE HOLY
GHOST
Looked up steadfastly Fixed
his eyes attentively on
heaven, GOD filled Stephen
with the Holy Ghost,
Stephen was a man filled
with the Holy Spirit, he
received a very special,
presence and ministration
of the Spirit: power and
grace to bear and go
through whatever lay
ahead, GOD gave Stephen a
vision into heaven: enabling
him to see into the other
world, the Spiritual world he
penetrate into heaven, to
see what is there, as if the
firmament was divided, and
the eye was permitted to
penetrate the eternal world
, Stephen saw the glory of
GOD, he saw GOD in the
brilliant light of His person,
full of splendor and
radiance, Stephen saw
JESUS standing at the right
hand of GOD, which
symbolizes the LORD
interceding , GOD gave
Stephen a glorious
testimony , Stephen
proclaimed the glory of
GOD, it was testimony of
truth of the other world to
those standing around,
Stephen was proclaiming
that JESUS is the SON of
GOD, that our faith in JESUS
is not in vain, that JESUS is
exactly who He claimed to
be JESUS standing
THEN THEY CRIED OUT
WITH ALOUD VOICE
Either through rage and
madness, or zeal of
blasphemy , and cried out to
avenge GOD or the
Sanhedrin the pass on Him,
being provoked to such
degree that they could not
contain themselves, and
meaning to overwhelm the
voice of Stephen; and
stopped their ears, as if they
could not bear to hear such
word, as they which it will
not have spoken, and ran
upon him , rush on him with
one accord, before any
sentence was passed, and
casting out of the city the
stone him ,it may be to
arouse the attention of
one and another to rise up
at once, and kill him,

Stephen experience the
pain and sufferings of the
trail, believer are not
remove from the trail , but
are given the grace and
strength to endure the trail
even martyrdom Stephen
call upon the LORD JESUS
CHRIST, it was the LORD
JESUS CHRIST who was
standing to receive him,
JESUS CHRIST wish all
believers to be with Him
where He is JOHN 14:1-3,
17:24, this was the very
reason JESUS humiliated
Himself in coming to the
earth,, sacrifice His life in
death, pray and long for
believers to join Him in
heaven
Stephen called JESUS
CHRIST to receive his Spirit,
He was still trusting the
grace of GOD, the
righteousness of JESUS
CHRIST for salvation, he was
not trusting in work, he
depended on JESUS CHRIST,
Stephen had trusted CHRIST
and lived for CHRIST during
life , so he trusted and live
for CHRIST in eternity
the man who took the lead
AT A YOUNG MAN’S FEET
That is, they procured him
to take care of the
garments, and the witness
laid down their cloths at the
young man’s feet, it was

LORD LAY NOT THIS SIN TO
THEIR CHARGE
Stephen was filled with
compassion for his
persecutors and murderers,
he possessed the very spirit
of CHRIST Himself he prayed
the same prayer LUKE 23:34
he wanted them to be
saved
ACTS 8:14-17
14)Now when the apostles
which were at Jerusalem
heard that Samaria had
received the word of GOD,
they sent unto them Peter
and John
15) Who, when they were
come down, prayed for
them, that they might
receive the Holy Ghost
16)For as yet he was fallen
upon none of them: only
they were baptized in the
name of the LORD JESUS
17)Then laid they their
hands on them, and they
received the Holy Ghost
NOW WHEN THE APOSTELS
WHICH WERE
The tiding came to the
twelve as a proof that the
limitation which had first
excluded Samaria from the
range of their work as
preachers of the Kingdom
had now passed away
MATTHEW 10:5 and the
time had now come when
they were to be witnesses
to CHRIST as well as in
Judaea, the oppositions of
race and worship
disappeared, and without
hesitation the Disciples they
sent the two who were, in
many respect the two of the
most eminent of their
number being the chief of
the disciples Peter and John
, the Jews, especially the
leaders, needed so see and
experience the Holy Spirit
falling upon Samaritans, by
witnessing the sight, they
would know and testify to
GOD;S reception of the
Samaritans, which will
remove the barriers that has
separated the two nation
for so long.
The sending of the two,
shows conclusively that
there was no ”Chief” or
ruler among them, this
shows that Peter had no
authority and superiority as
the Roman Catholics claim
for him, he exercise no
authority in sending others,
but was himself “sent” he
was appointed by united
voice in line with our
LORD’S command that all
ye are brethren MATTHEW
23:8 they acted as being
equal in authority, the
reason why they sent Peter
and John is to consent on
the admission of the new
converts to confirm the
doctrine of Philip, and
establish the young
converts in it, and to form
them into GOD’S family to
spread the Gospel
FOR AS YET HE WAS FALLEN
UPON NONE OF THEM
The Holy Ghost was yet
fallen upon none of these
converts, the Spirit had not
yet come upon any of them
in the same way He
descended on believers on
the day of Pentecost, He
had not yet come upon
them as the FATHER has
promised, and as JESUS
CHRIST has foretold , when
he says, you will be baptized
with the Holy Ghost ACT 1:5
evidently they have not
demonstrated the expected
Spiritual manifestations,
they sought at the hand of
GOD the extraordinary
communication of the Holy
Spirit, they did not even
pretend to have the power
of doing it without the aid
of GOD
THEN LAID THEY THEIR
HANDS ON THEM
Through the laying on of
hands, the Samaritans
received the Holy Ghost in

the same sense as the
baptism that occurred at
Pentecost , the Samaritans
two stage experience, that
is believing in JESUS CHRIST,
and then being filled with
the Holy Spirit
empowerment, shows that
the two stage experience of
the believers at Pentecost
was not an expectation to
the normal pattern in ACTS,
the experiences of both Paul
and the Ephesian disciples
and Samaritans, they
accepted CHRIST as LORD
and afterwards were filled
with the Holy Spirit, they
had received the Spirit of
illumination and
sanctification, and as , a
Spirit of conversion and
faith; they had been
regenerated, enlightened,
and brought to believe
CHRIST, and live by faith
upon Him, the Scripture
declares if any does not
have the Holy Spirit of
CHRIST, he does not belong
to CHRIST ROMANS 8:9 if a
person is truly saved, the
Holy Spirit has entered their
heart and life.
The Holy Spirit came upon ,
poured Himself out, infilled,
and manifested His
presence and power on the
very special occasion when
Peter and John visited the
new believers JESUS CHRIST
taught of the infilling of the
Holy Spirit JOHN 14:21-23
ACTS 11:12-16
12)And the Spirit bade me
go with them, nothing
doubting, moreover these
sis brethren accompanied
me, and we entered into the
man’s house
13)And he showed us how
he had seen an angel in his
house, which stood and said
unto him, Send men to
Joppa, and call for Simon,
whose surname is Peter
14)Who shall tell thee
words, whereby thou and all
thy house shall be saved
15)And as I began to speak,
the Holy Ghost fell on them,
as on us at the beginning
16)Then remembered I the
said, John indeed baptized
with water; but ye shall be
baptized with the Holy
Ghost
AND THE SPIRIT BED ME GO
WITH THEM
Peter, guided by the Holy
Spirit, Jewish believers in
Judea heard that the Gentile
at Caesarea, Samaria, had
received the Gospel, so
when Peter arrived back at
Jerusalem, he was rebuked
for going among Gentiles
with the Gospel, this is
another proof that Peter
had no supremacy over the
Apostles, what a great sin!
As claim by the disciples
Judea that eating with
gentiles, here peter relates
the whole story, recorded,
this plainly says in ACT 10,:
plainly say the angel told
Cornelius that Peter would
tell him words whereby he
would be saved by the
message Peter will give
them, Peter was to tell
Cornelius what he must do
to be saved, Peter’s vision
breaking down his bias
about GOD saving Gentiles
proved that there were not
saved, Peter was to speak
the word to Cornelius to
save him, the final word
referring to GOD’S
command Peter to preach
the Gospel that will save the
Gentile, when Cornelius and
his household believed the
LORD, it was when Peter
preached the word and the
Holy Ghost fell on them that
had the word, Peter
acknowledged that the
Gentiles were granted
repentance unto life, Peter
again testified later that it
was GOD who made the
choice among the Gentile,
by my mouth should hear
the word and believe
Peter stress:
v A trance and vision
from GOD
v A large sheet
descending from heaven
to him,
v The LORD speaking to
him,
v The LORD commanding
him ,
v The large sheet
ascending back into
heaven,
v The supernatural timing
in the arrival of
Cornelius servant,
v The Holy spirit’s
instruction him to go the
Gentile and his
instruction to send for
Peter,
v The Holy spirit falling on
the Gentiles even before
Peter had finished his
message, the Holy spirit
fell just as the LORD
promised
Everything that happened
to Peter is the opening door
to the Gentile.

FOR THE WORK I HAVE
CALLED THEM
As they ministered to the
LORD, that is the five
prophets and teachers; and
whose ministry lay in
preaching the Gospel,
teaching the people the
doctrines of CHRIST and
expounding prophecies, and
also engaged in prayer to
the LORD
The Holy Spirit said, the call
came from the Holy Spirit
evidently by direct
revelation, either with an
communicative voice, or by
internal impulse, upon the
minds of three prophets,
they were to be set apart
for the work chosen by
GOD, it is the Holy Spirit
that call the believer to
serve GOD the call of the
Holy Spirit is for the believer
to be His, to be possessed
by GOD’S Spirit to
completely surrender to the
Spirit wills and completely
surrender to the Holy Spirit ,
to allow the Holy Spirit to
live, and move and have His
being within the believer’s
hearts and body, to
possessed, infilled, and
guided by the Spirit, to be
control by the Spirit
completely to the Spirit’s
will and use.
SEPARATE ME BANABAS
AND PAUL
Set apart to me, or for my
service, for the work which
the Holy Ghost had
appointed, for specific task,
and called them to before
this, was to go and preach
the Gospel among Gentiles,
distinct from the Jews,
whereunto I have called
them, the work to which
they were now set apart
was that of preaching the
gospel in the regions round
about Antioch, accordingly ,
when, in the fulfilment of
this appointment, they had
traveled though, Seleucia,
Cyprus, Paphos, Pamphylia,
Pisidia, etc., they returned
to Antioch, having fulfilled
the work to which they
were separated
ACTS 14:26-27
Whereunto i have called
them, this proves that they
received their commission
to this work directly from
GOD the Holy Spirit, Paul
and Barnabas had been
influenced by the Spirit to
engage in this work, in a
special manner separate for
the calling in of the
Gentiles, that great ministry
or service which GOD had
for them to do
Paul and Barnabas were
called to spread the gospel
to the nations, bringing men
and women into a saving
relationship with CHRIST, it
is by the Spirit of CHRIST
that His ministers are made
both able and willing for his
service,
ACTS 13:4
4)So they, being sent forth
by the Holy Ghost, depart
unto Seleucia; and from
thence they sailed to Cyprus
SO THEY BEING SENT
FORTH BY THE HOLY GHOST
Having being called out of
the world by the Holy Spirt;
and being under His
direction, there was the
leading of the Holy Spirit,
himself,
DEPART UNTO SELEUCIA
So they being sent forth of
the Holy Ghost, they were
not sent by men, it was the
Holy Ghost, the servant of
GOD were sent on their way
by the Holy Spirit, the were
not sent on their own they
because of a feeling, and
inner idea that told them
they should go, they were
not going because the
Church was sending them
forth, they were not going
because they have chosen
mission as a profession , the
source of their call and
mission was the Holy Spirit,
it was the Spirit of GOD that
had called them and was
sending them forth, the
leadership of the Spirit is
critical to the servant of
GOD, if he is lead by the
Spirit, he is filled with the
greatest encouragement;
but if he is not led by the
Spirit, he is often filled with
the greatest
discouragement, Paul and
Barnabas were led by the
Spirit; therefore, they were
able to march forth
triumphantly they have five
things:
v They were sons of GOD
ROMANS 8:14
v The Holy Spirit would
be abiding with them
(JOHN 14:23)
v The Holy Spirit will be
guiding them (JOHN

v The Holy Spirit would
be giving them the
word to MATTHEW

v The Holy Spirit would
be giving success,
convicting the hearers
JOHN 16:8-11

of Barnabas, salamis was
the greatest city on the

ACTS 16:6-7
6)Now when they had gone
throughout Phrygia and the
region of Galatia, and were
forbidden of the Holy Ghost
to preach the word in Asia
7)After they were come to
Mysia, they assayed to go
into Bithynia; but the spirit
suffer them not
WHEN THEY HAD GONE
AND WERE FORBIDDEN OF
THE OF THE HOLY GHOST
Every initiative in
evangelism and missionary
activities, especially
missionary journey
recorded in ACTs, is the
result of the leading of the
Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit
kept Paul the province of
Asia, from going westward
this was doubtless the
region of proconsular
,withheld by the Holy Spirit
from undertaken a mission,
therefore, Paul’s plan were
to reach the great Asia city
for CHRIST, His timing was
wrong, the great cities will
be reach for CHRIST by Paul,
but it will be in future, not
then, Paul was not given
reason for the rejection,
the door was mele closed by
the Spirit, in fact, they were
all closed until Paul could go
in only one direction, and
His two companions Silas,
and Timothy, left Pisidian
Antioch and headed
northward towards
Bithynia, when they reached
the area of Mysia, the Holy
Spirit told them not to go
any farther north, so Paul
turn and went in the Troas,
a city which lay close by the
sea Only GOD knew
ACTS 17:16
16)Now while Paul waited
for them at Athens, his spirit
was stirred in him, when he
saw the city wholly given to
idolatry
NOW WHILE PAUL WAITED
FOR THEM AT ATHENS HIS
SPIRIT STIRRED IN HIM
While he waited for them
at Athens , namely for Silas
and Timothy, his Spirit was
stirred in him,, filled with
grief and indignation, when
he saw the City, which was
thought to be more
enlightened , than any
other, and in which learning
and arts were carried to
greater perfection than
anywhere else in the world,,
wholly given to idolatry, full
of idols, idols sat
everywhere, lining the
street and building,
enslaved to idolatry in the
most gross and shameful
manner, over the abuse of
GOD’S glory, over the
Spiritual blindness of man’s
mind and reason, against
the devil enslavement of
lives, Paul could not wait no
longer, he had been waiting
for Silas and Timothy,, he
began to reason and discuss
the Gospel with men
everywhere, and he
proclaim the gospel day by
day, he was Zealous eagerly
looking for every moment
and opportunity
ACTS 19:1-7
1)And it came to pass, that,
while Apollos was at
Corinth, Paul having passed
through the upper coasts
came to Ephesus; and
finding certain disciples
2)He said unto them, have
ye received the Holy Ghost
since ye believed? And they
said unto him, we have not
so much as heard whether
there be any Holy Ghost
3)And he said unto them,
unto what then were ye
baptized? And they said
unto John’s baptism
4)Then said Paul, John
verily baptized with the
baptism of repentance,
saying unto the people, that
they should believe on him
which should after him, that
is on CHRIST JESUS
5)When they heard this,
they were baptized in the
name of JESUS
6)And when Paul had laid
his hands upon them; and
they spake with tongues,
and prophesied
7) And all the men were
about twelve
AND IT CAME TO PASS
Paul arrived in Ephesus ,
but Apollos had already left
for Corinth, Paul, at
Ephesus, found some
religious persons who had
been baptized into John the
Baptist baptism, and who
had embraced John’s
doctrine that the Messiah
was soon to appear,, it was
very clear that they had not
yet heard that He had come,
or the Holy Spirit was given,
they were evidently in the
same situation as Apollos,
but they had not been led
to expect the miraculous
power of the Holy Ghost,
nor were they informed that
the gospel was especially
the ministration of the Holy
Spirit, were these twelve
disciple at Ephesus are
disciples of John the Baptist,
who were still waiting for
the Messiah
HAVE YOU RECEIVE THE
HOLY GHOST
While ministering in
Ephesus, Paul ran across
twelve disciples , they have
not been baptize they are
who are looking for the
coming Messiah they have
not being baptized in the
name of JESUS CHRIST, their
belief is in complete, they
believe what John the
Baptist has preached, that
the Messiah was coming,
but they did not know He
has already come in the
person of JESUS CHRIST,
they have repented of their
sins as preached by John the
Baptist concerning
repentance and remission
of sins, but were ignorant of
the person of the Holy
Spirit, but they have not
received the saving
presence of the LORD JESUS
in their heart and lives, the
special regenerating and
sanctifying grace, the living
presence and power of
CHRIST in the person of the
Holy Spirit, had not yet
saved them, he said, have
you received the Holy
Ghost?, the extraordinary
gifts, as well as the
sanctifying grace of the Holy
Spirit, since you believe,
these disciples were
converts , salvation
necessitates full belief and
the receiving of the Holy

Ghost, Paul questioned, Did
you receive the Holy Spirit,
having believed or when
you believed?
And they said unto him, we
have not so much as heard
whether there be any Holy
Ghost, they had heard
nothing of the day of
Pentecost,, and of the
pouring out of the upon the
disciples, they cuttingly
were acquainted with the
Old Testament(OT) teaching
about the Holy Spirit JOEL
2:28-28, but they did not
hear that the Spirit is
poured out to believers
WHEN THEY HEARD
When they heard what
Paul had said in respect to
the nature of John’s
baptism,
AND WHEN PAUL HAD LAID
HIS HAND UPON THEM
And when Paul had laid his
hands upon them , they
having been before
baptized, not by him, but by
john, or one of his disciples,
in the name of the LORD
JESUS; just as Peter and
John laid their hands upon
the believing Samaritans,
who had been before
baptized by Philip ACTS 8:14
and the same extraordinary
effect, the holy Ghost came
on them; in His
extraordinary gifts, and they
spake with tongues or other
languages, which they had
never learned, or had been
used to, as the disciples did
in the day of Pentecost
And all the men were about
twelve

11) And GOD wrought
special miracles by the
hands of Paul
12)So that from his body
were brought unto the sick
handkerchiefs or aprons,
and the disease depart from
them
AND GOD WROUGHT
SPECIAL MIRACLE
And GOD wrought special
miracles, that were
remarkable; that were not
common or unusual,
implying that he had not
been accustomed to such
work, which happened by
chance in the hand of Paul,
for the confirmation of the
doctrine which he preached
and of his mission, these
were not a common
miracle, they were rare and
uncommon ones, which was
visible display of the power
of GOD; to whom as the
efficient cause they are
ascribed, the apostle being
an instrument GOD made
use of
HANDKERCHIEF OR
APRONS
The extraordinary miracles
of GOD were seen, they
were miracles, power that
were not regular
happenings; powers that
were not regular powers
that were miracles that
were extraordinary;
miracles that were usually
seen; that were uncommon;
that even the apostle had
not witnessed such
miracles, not regular basis
Obviously what happened
was that Ephesus was a
center of occult including all
forms of spiritism, magic,
superstition, and black acts,
the people were an
emotional lot, sensual and
easily moved to feelings and
to belief in magic, from all
evidence , the spectacular
was necessary in order to
get through to the people,
as always, GOD does
everything He can to reach
a people, these
extraordinary miracles
shows the great love and
movement of GOD toward
men as we know no piece of
cloth or other materials
things has the virtue of its
own, only GOD has virtues
the healing was done by
GOD
So that from the body, that
is, those handkerchiefs
which had been applied to
his body, which he had
used, or which he had
touched, an instance
somewhat similar to this
occurs in the case of the
woman who was healed by
touching the hem of JESUS
CHRIST’S garments
MATTHEW 9:20
Paul’s Ministry at Ephesus
was marked by
extraordinary miracles of
healings and deliverance
from demon, accomplished
directly or through
handkerchief and apron
that had been in contact
with his body, that is sweat
cloths , GOD was pleased to
confirm the teaching and
the working of miracles in
the region would greatly
contribute to the spread of
the gospel, we are not to
suppose that there was any
value in the aprons thus
brought, or in the mere fact
that they had touched the
body of Paul, which most
clearly showed that they

were wrought by a Divine
power not the handkerchief
or body

23)Save that the Holy

SAVE THAT THE HOLY
GHOST
Paul said the Holy Spirit
bore witness to him that
bonds and affliction would
come upon him in every
city, the Holy Ghost’s
testimony was that
hardships and
imprisonment awaited Paul
in Jerusalem, was probably ,
either by direct revelation
to him, or by the prediction
communicated through the
Prophets, as he travels
along the churches in every
city, what will befall him
when he came to Jerusalem
ACTS 21:11
11)And when he was come
unto us, he took Paul’s
girdles, and bound his own
hands and feet, and said,
thus saith the Holy Ghost,
so shall the Jews at
Jerusalem bind the man
that owneth this girdle, and
shall deliver him into the
hands of the Gentiles
HE TOOK PAUL’S GRIDLE,
AND BOUND HIS OWN
HANDS AND FEET
Agabus’s prediction would
strike Paul deeply, for
Agabus was a prophet
greatly used by GOD, he
was the prophet whom GOD
had used to predict the
Famine in Jerusalem
ACTS 11:27-28, in taking
Paul’s belt in his hand own
feet ,Agabus was using a
symbol such as the old
Testament prophets used to
drive home their point
JEREMIAH 13:1-8 EZELIEL
4:1-6, the loose, flowing
robes, or outer garments,
which were worn were
bound by a girdle, or band
around the body when they
ran or labored, or walked,
such a gridle was therefore
an indispensable part of
dress.
And bound his own hands
and feet, as illustrative of
what would be done by the
Jews and Romans to Paul,
the design was to make the
prediction more forcible
and impressive by
representing it to the eye
THUS SAITH THE HOLY
GHOST
Who was in Agabus, and
spoke by Him, and foretold
some things to come to
pass, and which did come to
pass; and is a proof of the
foreknowledge, and so of
the Holy Spirit
This was fulfilled in ACTS
21:33 AND ACTS 24
