SUBJECTION
THE WIVES SUBJECT TO
THEIR OWN HUSBAND
24)Therefore as the Church
is subject unto CHRIST so let
the Wives be to their own
husbands in every thing
|
SUBJECTION OF THE WIVES
The Duty of the wives is
submission to their husband
in the LORD, which includes
honoring and obeying them
from principle of love to
them, the duty of the
husband is to love their wives
As the Church subject unto
JESUS CHRIST with
cheerfulness, chastity,
humility and obedience so let
the wives in imitation of to
the Church “subjection to
CHRIST, as a Pattern of their
subjection to their husband
in every thing:
that is consistent with the
commandments and the law
of GOD, and the gospel of
JESUS CHRIST

LOVE
25)Husbands love your
wives, even as CHRIST also
loved the Church, and gave
himself for it
|
HUSBANDS LOVE YOUR
WIVES
With a sincere, pure, strong
cordial passionate and
constant affection, as they
resemble JESUS CHRIST in the
honor and perform duty to
love them.
In showing respect, and
doing honor to them in
seeking their contentment,
satisfaction and pleasure in a
quiet, constant, and
comfortable dwelling with
them in providing all things
necessary for them as JESUS
CHRIST.

EPHESIANS 5:33

33)nevertheless let every
one of you in particular so
love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she
reverence her husband
|
SO LOVE HIS WIFE
The love which the husband
is to have for his wife is the
very love of GOD
himself(agape love) love is a
selfless love and unselfish
love, giving and sacrificial
love.
That is, with asincere,
peculiar, cordial and
prevailing affection, like that
he bears to himself
It is the love of affection and
feelings: it is the love of will
and commitment, it is a love
that will and commits itself
to love a person
THE WIFE SEE THAT SHE
REVERENCE HER HUSBAND
The wife should show
respect to the husband as
the head of the family and
set over her in the LORD, she
must entertain a high esteem
for him, be desirous of
pleasing him in all things
lawful, reasonable and
proper, obey, honor, respect
the will of the husband
The relation of Sarah and
Abraham may again be
referred to as indicating the
true ideal of the relation of
the wife to the husband

WIVES SUBMIT YOURSELVES
18)Wives, submit yourselves
unto your own husbands, as
it is fit in the LORD
19)Husbands, love your
wives and be not bitter
against them

SUBMISSION
The believer’s wives is to
submit to his husband and
the husband to love his wife
and not be hash to the wife,
which is fitting and right
thing to do
FIRST- The wives to submit
themselves to their husband,
the word “SUBMIT” means to
subdue and subject in
obedience.
The Christian wives must
submit because is the only
fitting thing to do, which is
the right thing, suitable to
GOD’S institution in a
manner, agreeable to the
mind of JESUS CHRIST to
have a godly marriage as
directed by the LORD.
That is subjection is she
surrender her live to live to
live in the LORD to love him
and follow him and witness
for him by living just as he
says to live to love him in
order, cooperation,
relationship the way the
husband and wife are to walk
through out life
HUSBAND LOVE

7)For a man indeed ought
not to cover his head,
forasmuch as he is the image
and the glory of GOD but the
woman is the glory of the
man
8)For the man is not of the
woman; but the woman for
the man
9) Neither was the man
created for the woman; but
the woman for the man

MAN AND WOMAN
Man was created in the
image of GOD ( GEN 1:26-27)
Woman of the man is the
glory of the man, she has her
place in GOD’S creation, but
her place is not the man’s,
Her place by the side of the
man as his glory, highly
exalted as his queen, she
reigns in majesty by the side
of the man’s glory, in GOD
order.
In GOD’S order and
organization of things, man is
the ruler and woman is the
ruling queen by his side, GOD
demonstrated that is by:
- GOD created woman
from the rib of man
GENESIS 2:21
- GOD created woman
as a companion to
man GENESIS 2:18
Woman is, therefore, to
honor man’s authority, she is
not to rebel against his godly
authority nor bring
embarrassment and dishonor
to her husband.

12)But to the rest speak I,
not of the LORD; if any
brother hath a wife that
believeth not, and she be
pleased to dwell with him, let
him not put her away
13)And the woman which
hath a husband that
believeth not, and if he be
pleased to dwell with her, let
her not leave him
14) For the unbelieving
husband is sanctified by the
wife, and the unbelieving
wife is sanctified by the
husband: else were your
children unclean: but now
are they holy
15) But if the unbeliever
depart let him depart, a
brother or sister in not under
bondage in such cases: but
GOD hath called us to peace.

BELIEVING AND
UNBELIEVING HUSBAND,
WIFE
When a believer is in a
marriage with unbeliever, the
marriage as well as the
children born to that union
are legitimate before GOD,
therefore the believer should
live with the unbeliever and
not seek divorce or divide the
marriage of the home
Furthermore, because the
husband or wife is believer,
he/she may have s special
influence so that the partner
is led to accept JESUS CHRIST
1 PETER 1-2
IN NOT BOUND
In the event that an
unbelieving partner
abandons or divorces a
believer, the marriage
relation is dissolved and the
believer is free from his or
her marital obligation, NOT
BOUND ( not under bondage)
is no longer enslave under
the marriage VOWS.
In such circumstances,
means that the believer is
released from the union, and
free to remarry.

1 PETER 3:1-7

1)Likewise, ye wives, be in
subjection to your own
husbands; that, if any obey
not the word, they also may
without the word, be won by
the conversation of the wives
2) While they behold your
chaste(PURE) conversation
coupled with fear.
3)Whose adoring let it not
be that outward adoring of
plaiting the hair, and wearing
of gold or putting on of
apparel;
4) But let it be the hidden
man of the heart, in that
which is not corruptible, even
the ornament of a meek and
quiet spirit, which is in the
sight of GOD of great price
SUBJECTION OF HOLY
WOMEN/WIVES
5) For after this manner in
the old time the holy women
also who trusted in GOD,
adorned themselves, being in
subjection unto their own
husbands
6) Even as Sarah obeyed
Abraham, calling LORD
whose daughters ye are, as
long as ye do well.

SUBMISSION- WIFE
THE WIFE DUTY- Is to submit
herself to her husband even
if he does not believe GOD’S
word, scripture clearly point
out, that the Christian wife is
to place herself under the
authority and control of her
husband; that she is to
submit herself to her
husband’s authority, control
and leadership
GOD’S order is for the
husband to take the lead, the
believers life is to obey the
word of the LORD, submit
herself to her husband’s
leadership, authority and
control even if the husband
don’t believe in GOD’S word,
the wife is to submit herself
to him:
Ø Some husband are
unbelievers: they just
refuse to heed GOD’S
word
Ø Some husband not
only believe in GOD
they rebel against
GOD
The wife is to submit herself
by living a pure life, when a
woman marries a man he set
herself apart for him and him
alone, she must not submit
to another man by living pure
life.
Not dressing to attract
attention, but a woman
should guard her clothing,
behavior and conduct, the
way she walk and dress
modestly and the way she
act in public:
v To help not to
seduce them
v To serve people, not
to destroy them
v To point people to
JESUS CHRIST, and
not to attract men to
herself
v To teach people
righteous behavior,
not fleshly and
worldly behavior
The wife is to submit herself
by adoring or dressing her
heart and spirit, by focusing
upon the inner self, the inner
life, the inward person, the
regenerated and new
creation that JESUS CHRIST
her new heart, a new life, a
new character
The believing woman
focuses upon her heart, upon
the things that are hidden 16
and not that cannot be seen
by the naked eye, upon
developing a gentle and quite
spirit,
A GENTLE AND QUITE SPIRIT
A spirit that is gentle, tender,
humble, mild, and
considerate. It does not flare
up, talk back, act defensively,
cut in, rant, rave go on and
on, talking and talking.
A gentile and quite Spirit Is
of great value to GOD, it
spread peace throughout its
home and around to
everyone who enter its home
The believing wife must win
her husband to be LORD by
submitting herself to him:
§ That she lives a pure
life
§ That she lives in the
reverence of GOD
§ That she does not
dress and behave to
attract attention
§ That she adorns her
heart with a gentle
and quite spirit

7)Likewise ye husbands,
dwell with them according to
knowledge, giving honor
unto the weaker vessel and
as being heirs together of the
grace of life; that your
prayers be not hindered
|
HUSBAND LIVE WITH THEIR
WIVES WITH
UNDERSTANDING:
The husband live with their
wives who is a weaker
partner, by nature, the wife
is more delicate that means
the husband :
- To protect her
- To provide for her
- To take the lead
- To oversea the family
and its welfare
- To be the driving
force
- To be initiator
Husband are to respect their
wives by loving and tenderly
taking care of them, they are
look after and take care of
them with warmth and
tenderness.

young women to be sober, to
love their husbands, to love
their children
5)To be discreet, chaste,
keepers at home, good,
obedient to their own
husband, that the word of
GOD be not blasphemed

YOUNGER WOMAN ARE TO
LOVE THEIR HUSBAND
Younger women are to love
their husband, in their
marriage by loving each
other, therefore the young
wife must love her husband:
- With a selfless and unselfish love
- With a giving and
sacrificial love
- With a quite and
peaceable love
- With a love of will as
well as of the heart
- With a love of
commitment as well
as of affection.
Young women are to love
their children and be self
control, busy home maker,
kind, highest; virtuous
through and through, quality
of character, natured and
caring, good and be subject
to their husbands.
