brethren, our labor and
travail; for laboring night and
day, because we would not
be chargeable unto any of
you, we preach unto you the
gospel of GOD

preach and labor day and
night to meet the desperate
need of the world
*He does not want to be
chargeable to any man

quiet, and do your own
business, and to work with
your own hands , as we
commanded

are without, and that ye may

business or man’s calling
WORK WITH YOUR HAND:
we must work and labor to
provide the necessities of life
and help the needy
EPHESIAN 4:28
2Th 3:12

6) Now we command you,
brethren, in the name of our
LORD JESUS CHRIST, that ye
withdraw yourselves from
every brother that walketh
dis orderly, and not after the
tradition which he received
of us
7) For yourselves know how
ye ought to follow us. For we
behaved not ourselves
disorderly among you
8) Neither did we eat any
man’s bread for nought: but
wrought with labor and
travails night and day, that
we might not be chargeable
to any of you
9) Not because we have not
power, but to make
ourselves an example unto
you to follow us
10) For even when we were
with you, this we
commanded you, that if any
would not work, neither
should he eat
KEEP AWAY FROM BROTHER
WHO IS IDLE –
Keep away from every
brother who lives idleness(
who dose not work)
*Idle persons? – They are
Lazy
* They Refuse to work or are
slack in their work
Act 18:1-3 Paul Was a tent
Maker as they were, he
stayed and work with them-
(8)
* Paul set example to follow
by working secular work as
tent maker (9)
* The Idle worker must work
or lose his right to eat (10)

DEAL CHRISTIAN HANGING
AROUND THE CHURCH
11)For we hear that there
are some which walk among
you disorderly working not at
all, but are busybodies
12) Now them that are such
we command and exhort by
our LORD JESUS CHRIST, that
with quietness they work,
and eat their own bread
13) But ye, brethren, be not
weary in well doing
14) And if any man obey not
our word by this epistle, note
that man, and have no
company with him, that he
may be ashamed
15) Yet count him not as an
enemy, but admonish him as
a brother
*The idle person is busybody
is the devil play ground that
are involved in gossiping all
kinds of rumor due to
idleness (11)
That with quietness they
work- to cover their idleness
busy meddling and leaving
on people and the church,
they are to look for secular
work to feed themselves and
extend their hands to the
needy(12-13)
1 TIMOTHY 5:8
8) But if any provide not for
his own, and specially for
those of his own house, he
hath denied the faith, and is
worse than an infidel

pagan
*Any one who cannot take
care of his household and
aged parents by working and
providing for them is a pagan
1 TIMOTHY 6:1
1)Let as many servants as
are under the yoke count
their own masters worthy of
all honor, that the name of
GOD and his doctrine be not
blasphemed
2) And they that have
believing masters, let them
not despise them, because
they are brethren; but rather
do them service, because
they are faithful and beloved,
partaker of the benefit, these
things teach and exhort
THE BELIEVER WORKER
should be under bondage,
weigh down so heavily
*To respect, comply obey
and do what the employee
requires
* To do the Job and do it well
* To appreciate GOD for
having a work to do so that
GOD will be glorify
1 TIMOTHY 6: 6-10
6) But godliness with
contentment is great gain
7) For we brought nothing
into this world, and it is
certain we can carry nothing
out
8) And having food and
raiment let us be therewith
content
9) But they that will be rich
fall in to temptation and a
snare, and into many foolish
and hurtful lusts, which
drown men in destruction
and perdition
10) For the love of money is
the root of all evil: which
while some coveted after,
they have erred from the
faith, and pierced themselves
through with many sorrows
WE BROUGHT NOTHING
INTO THIS WORLD: Godliness
with contentment is great
gain (7-8)
*The secret to contentment
is godliness
* The secret of contentment
is not money (9-10)
money plunge men into ruin
and destruction for the lust
of many things
He is always tempted to live
selfishly and to hoard what
he has:
To keep on buying
To keep on going and
going
To keep on doing and
doing

obedient unto their own
masters, and to please them

work
*THOUGHT: He thinks about
his work, how to improve it
and to be efficient
RELATIONSHIP: He seek to
build good relationship with
fellow workers and

when extra hour and time is
needed and goes beyond
what is required

but followers of them who
through faith and patience
inherit the promise

don’t be careless negligent or
dull, sluggish and indolent
*But follow after diligence,
pain-taking to perform their
duty
* Do diligently read and
study the word of GOD
* Do we diligently pray every
day
* Do diligently share CHRIST
1 PETER 2:18-21
18)Servant, be subject to
your masters with all fear;
not only to the good and
gentle, but also to the
forward ( hash)
19) For this is thankworthy,
if a man for conscience
towards GOD endure grief,
suffering wrongfully
20) For what glory is it, if,
when ye be buffeted
(beating) for your faults, ye
shall take it patiently? But if,
when ye do well, and suffer
for it, ye take it patiently, this
is acceptable with GOD
21) For even hereunto were
ye called: because CHRIST
also suffered for us, leaving
us as example, that ye should
follow his steps
THE CHRISTIAN WORKMAN
SHOULD:
*To be submissive and obey
his master whether hash or
kind in that you glorify GOD
* The Christian workman is to
subject even to the
overbearing and employer
* Christian worker should
submit himself to his master
in order to please GOD
*The Christian worker is not
working for the master but
onto the LORD who will
compensate

2 COR. 1:12
COL 2:23-25
1 PETER 4:15
15) But let none of you
suffer as a murderer, or as a
thief, or as an evildoer, or as
a busybody in other man’s
matters
16) Yet if any mam suffers as
a Christian, let him not be
ashamed; but let him glorify
GOD on this behalf
17) For the time is come that
judgment must begin at the
hours of GOD; and if it first
begin at us, what shall the
end be of them that obey not
the gospel of GOD?
DO NOT BRING SUFFERING
UPON YOURSELF BY VIOLATE
LAWS OF THE LAND:
*The Believer is not to suffer
as a murderer: he is not to
take any one’s life
* The believer should not
suffer as a thief: He is not to
steal no matter how small
*The believer is not to suffer
as evil doer: a law breaker
*The believer is not to suffer
as a busybody: meddler on
other affair , gossip and idler
