PLENTEOUS IN MERCY AND
TRUTH
(15) But thou, O LORD art a GOD
full of compassion, and gracious,
long-suffering, and plenteous in
mercy and truth
|
BUT THOU O LORD ART A GOD
FULL OF COMPASSION
In the most affectionate and
tender manner, and freely bestows
it, and is rich and plenteous in his
mercy and gracious; so he has been
in eternity as it appears by his
election of grace, by the covenant
of grace and the provision of his
son; JESUS CHRIST from his
justification, forgiveness of sin,
adoption and the calling of salvation

That mercy and truth which is
man’s duty- Forsake not them, and
the exercise of them, show mercy to
fellow neighbor , to bodies of men,
by alleviating their wants,
sympathize with them in their
troubles put on bowels of
compassion, be tenderhearted and
forgive offence and in the spirit of
meekness restore backsliders, for
GOD will have mercy not sacrifice.

The righteous are blessed be
because they are kind and have
mercy on the poor, the wicked are
not blessed because they sin by
despising their neighbor
Ignoring the needs of the poor
neighbor is nothing than sin, God
will bless those who help the poor

The righteous plan to do good and
thus receive love and mercy, the
wicked plot evil and thus go astray.
Foolish people lose as a result of
their sinful ways when they stay
from GOD’S law and plot against
their neighbor, they forfeit the
mercy and faithfulness of both GOD
another towards them.

helping the poor the wicked revel
their hatred for GOD by opposing
the poor, the wicked cheat and take
advantage of the poor, making their
condition more worse than they
already are
Those who wrong the poor wrong
GOD, the righteous who honor and
attribute to him the position and
glory he deserved, are merciful and .
kind to those who are poor

mercy, truth and love bring stability
in nations to both rulers and
ordinary citizen. A leader who
governs with love, mercy,
faithfulness, and truth is safe among
his people, his seat of authority is
established and secured by his
unfailing commitment to the
welfare of the people, his unselfish
and unfailing care stirs his people to
love, protect and if necessary, fight
for him

The foolish hide their sins and do
not prosper; the wise confess their
sins and receive mercy,
Yet in order for mercy to be
extended, our confession must be
accompanied by repentance,
renouncing sin, genuine repentance
is a change of heart and mind that
result in change of conduct.

The wicked borrow and pay not, he
is a condition of want that he will be
under necessary of borrowing due
to covetousness and injustice or
rather, because of great poverty
GOD shall bring to him, but will not
have the means of repaying what he
had borrowed, while the righteous
will not only have enough for
himself, but GOD blessing he will
have the means to show mercy to
others, and giving to them what
they need.

So he made himself known, GOD is

affectionate manner, he has bowels
of mercy, which crave towards his
people, his mercies is free, without
any motive or merit in men to
engage it: he constantly bestows it,
it is source of good things

The LORD correct for the profit of
his children that the may be
partakers of his holiness, by his
judgments with sinners, but is ready
to be reconciled to them upon their
true repentance
SO GREAT IS HIS MERCY TO THOSE

The comparison is used to denote
the great mercy of GOD, which
means that there is nothing beyond
it; that we cannot imaging that can
be greater, as we can imagine
nothing higher than the heavens

The merciful sincerely want to
make the suffering less by bringing
those people to the grace and help
of GOD though JESUS CHRIST
THE SHALL OBTAIN MERCY
When they most need it, as they
deal with their fellows ,GOD will
deal with them, he will incline men
to show mercy and deal kindly with
them in this world and he himself
will grant them mercy and loving
kindness

MERCY REJOICE AGAINST
JUDGMENT
That is merciful men, who have
mercy on the poor, will not be
afraid of the dreadful judgment, but
rather rejoice or glory by GOD’S
mercy as they will obtain mercy

CONDEMNED THE GUILTLESS
For condemning innocent persons
of the disciples, for rubbing a few
ears of corn, for the refreshment of
nature; which they would never
have done, had they understood the
word, and will of GOD; who prefers
acts of compassion, humanity and
mercy to the observance of rites
and ceremonies

its overflowing active compassion
cannot be controlled by humans, as
God extends his mercies and
compassion to the gentile Nation
ROMANS 11:32
That GOD confers his grace and
mercy in time, on such persons he
has willed and determined from
eternity to confer it, since it
depends on his will, and this grace
and mercy are shown only to some
persons, and that the only reason is
divine and not the works or merit
of man
SO THEN IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT
WILLETH
It signifies nothing, for men to will
or do, they may sit still and do
nothing, but depend on the mercy
of GOD
NOR HIM THAT RUNNETH
That is not owing to the will and
works of men, to desire and
affection of their minds, or action of
their live
BUT GOD THAT SHEWTH MERCY
He is at full liberty to give his grace
and mercy, when, where, and to
whom he pleases; and therefore to
give it to some, and deny it to
others, can never be accounted an
act of injustice, since he is bound to
any one he will
So salvation in all its parts and
branches, as redemption,
justification, regeneration, calling,
conversion, and faith, repentance,
hope, love, mercy and compassion
and eternal life is not to be ascribed
to the will of men, nor at the work
of men, but entirely and alone to
the love, grace and mercy of GOD
through JESUS CHRIST
