18)For I reckon that the
sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory
which shall be revealed in us
FOR THE SUFFERING OF
THIS PRESENT TIME
The believer suffers and
struggles in this life, which
comes from persecution
and the struggle in the spirit
to overcome the sinful
nature and the world : sin
and corruption, disease and
pain, abuse and
persecution, carnality and
lustful desires, weakness
and shortcomings, and
decay
All the suffering of this
present age; its design is to
show the power of the
Gospel in sustaining the soul
for the grace and in trials,
sickness, pain, misery,
disappointments, poverty,
mistreatment, sorrow,
persecution and troubles of
any kind must be
considered unimportant
when compared with the
blessing, privilege and glory
that will be given to the
faithful believers in the age
to come
The true believer struggles
against everything, his sole
passion is to bring
everything under the
control of CHRIST and to
conform to the image of
CHRIST; therefore he
struggles to overcome the
flesh and the world with
their aging and corruption,
sin and death, no matter
what suffering is required,
the believer bears it in order
to overcome and gain the
victory of eternal life and its
glory
The future glory shall be
revealed in the believer, the
glory shall radiate and shine
forth, the future glory shall
be an eternal glory that
outweighs everything

35)Who shall separate us
from the love of CHRIST?
Shall tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril or
sword?
36)As is written, for my
sake we are killed all the
day long; we are accounted
as sheep for the slaughter
37)Nay, in all these thing
we are more than
conquerors through him
that love us
38)For I am persuaded, that
neither death, nor
principalities, nor powers
nor things present, nor
things to come
39)Nor, height, nor depth,
nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from
he love of GOD which is in
CHRIST JESUS our LORD
WHO SHALL SEPARATE US
FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST
Who shall separate us, that
is finally or entirely separate
us, strong confidence in the
safety of the believer ,
believers have always had
to face hardship in many
forms, hardship,,
persecution, illness, and
even death, imprisonment
,no matter what happens to
us no matter where we are,
we can never be, nothing
can separated from love of
CHRIST, suffering should not
drive us away from GOD but
help us to identify with him
and allows His love to heal
us.
Who or what shall separate
us from the love of CHRIST?
how terrible or severe the
situation, there is no
circumstance, no situation,
no event that can cause us
to turn away from CHRIST,
CHRIST loves the believers
regardless of the
circumstances:
TROUBLES: to undergo
struggles, trials,
temptation, suffering,
affliction
PERSECUTION-to be
abused, mocked, ridiculed,
shamed, mistreated,
ignored, neglected, 20
harassed, attacked, or
injured
HARDSHIP-to suffer
anguish, trouble, agony
stress
DANGER- to be exposed to
the most severe risks; to be
confronted body, soul,
property, family and loved
ones
FAMINE: want of the
necessaries of life, as food
and drink; being expose to
great hunger and thirst
NAKEDNESS-Want of proper
clothing, or the use of
common apparels
PERILS: dangers from
different quarters, by
different persons and ways
SWORD: that is death by the
sword cannot separate
from the love of CHRIST
SHAME-mistreatment,
ignored, neglected,
Believers must always
remember that they are
going to suffer while they
are in this world, the world
will reject and persecute
them as long as the
believers continue to live for
CHRIST, their lives of
godliness convict the world,
of the rejecting of
ungodliness.
However no matter the
circumstances ,we are more
than conquer through
CHRIST who loves us, no
matter the circumstances
and their severity, CHRIST
will carry us through all
strengthen and encourage
us no matter the situation.
JESUS CHRIST protects
believers from the most

extreme experience, there
is nothing in the universe
that can separate the
believers from the love of
GOD, which is in CHRIST
JESUS our LORD
The believer is fully
convinced of this glorious
fact
NOT DEATH- confronting
death leaving this world
cannot separate us from
CHRIST and His love
NOT LIFE: no trail or
pleasure or comfort of life,
nor persons nor anything of
this life can separate us
from CHRIST and His love
NOT ANGEL- nor demons;
no heavenly or spiritual
creature, no beings, no
being from any dimension
can separate us from the
love of CHRIST
NOT THE PRESENT NOR THE
FUTURE- neither present
events, beings or things nor
future events, being or
things absolutely nothing
present or in the future,
can separate us from the
love of CHRIST
NOT PRINCIPALITY AND
POWER – evil angels, as
having dominion over
people, magistrate and civil
rulers can separate us from
the love of CHRIST
NOT HIGHT OR DEPTH
nothing from outer space or
from the depths of the
earth can separate us
Nothing to come; whether
good or bad, prosperous or
adverse; more afflictions,
fresh affliction with the
body , time of distress that
is to come upon the earth
will separate us from the
love of CHRIST
2 CORINTHIANS 1:5
5)For as the sufferings of
CHRIST abound in us, so our
consolation also aboundeth
by CHRIST
6)And whether we be
afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation,
which is affectual in the
enduring of the same
suffering which we also
suffer: or whether we be
comforted, it is for your
consolation and salvation
FOR AS THE SUFFERING OF
CHRIST ABOUND IN US SO
OUR CONSOLATION
For as the suffering of
CHRIST abound in us, as we
are called to experience the
same sufferings which
CHRIST endures as we are
called to suffer in his cause,
the believers life includes
both suffering a sharing of
partnership with CHRIST
GOD matches the comfort
to equal the suffering, in
suffering and the comfort of
CHRIST, suffering for CHRIST
refers to those afflictions,
we experience as we serve
CHRIST, HE Himself bore
every kind of suffering
imaginable , even the
suffering of death, HE had
to experience situations,
conditions, and trails of
man, which CHRIST
experience the most
humiliating experience ever,
CHRIST bends to the lowest
point of human experience
in every condition
The same time CHRIST
suffered with HIS followers
since they are united with
HIM in ACTS 9:5 CHRIST
asked Paul why are you
persecuting him, this
implies that CHRIST suffer
ed with the early believers,
as they should rejoice when
they suffer they will in there
own suffering experience a 23
little what JESUS CHRIST
suffered for our sin, as
suffering helps believers
grow in faith , and draws
people close to CHRIST,
GOD uses suffering to
improve HIS people and
shape them into better
Christians, as it is a,
necessary pain that
accompanied spiritual
growth, believers are to
encourage other who
suffers .
The suffering which they
endured in endeavoring to
advance the same object
which CHRIST sought to
promote; they arose from
opposition, contempt,
persecution, trails, and
want, and were the same as
the LORD JESUS was himself
was subjected to during the
whole of his public life
SO OUR CONSOLATION
ALSO ABOUNDETH BY
CHRIST
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is
our source of consolation
and felt that the comfort
which he imparted, or
which was imparted
through Him was more than
sufficient to overbalance all
the trials, which we endured
in the cause, the comfort
which we derive from
CHRIST were those,
doubtless, which arose from
His presence, His supporting
grace
AND WHETHER WE BE
AFFLICTED IT IS FOR YOUR
CONSOLATION
No matter what the
suffering is now, how

terrible it may be, GOD
showers us with the
comfort of His SON, the
LORD JESUS CHRIST, he
gives us all the strength and
comfort necessary to handle
all the suffering, there is no
trail too great, no pressures
too heavy, that GOD cannot
match them with comfort of
the LORD JESUS CHRIST,
CHRIST has borne every trial
and suffering for us, GOD
uses suffering to stir up and
comfort those who suffer ,
this stirs you to hold fast the
rejoicing of your hope, and
the profession of your faith
firm unto the end, and with
greater cheerfulness and
pleasure we endure
affliction for the sake of
CHRIST and His Gospel, that
the affliction of believers
were not only for their
consolation, but also for
their salvation

17)For our light affliction,
which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more
exceeding and eternal
weight of glory
FOR OUR AFFLICTION
WHICH IS BUT FOR A
MOMENT
The believers affliction are
light when compared to the
glory he shall receive in
heaven, the affliction and
hardship endured in the
lives of believers who
remains faithful to CHRIST
are light in comparison to
the abundance of glory we
as believers have in CHRIST,
therefore we must not lose
hope or give up our faith as
we face our problems ,as we
say that the tribulation were
nothing compared with the
glory of eternal life.25
The affliction may be heavy
and severe, but when he
places the eternal glory he is
to receive the affliction
becomes light, it is though
they weigh nothing, the
believer should not look at
things which are seen , the
physical and corruptible, but
at things which are not
seen, he is to focus on the
spiritual and eternal goal or
end, the goal is spending
eternity with GOD

12)Yea, and all that will live
godly in CHRIST JESUS shall
suffer persecution
The believer who want to
live a godly life in CHRIST
will face persecution,,
loyalty to CHRIST , His truth
and righteous standards,
involves constant
determination not to
compromise our faith or
give in to the outflow of
worldly voice calling us to
conform to the world and to
lay aside biblical truth,
because of the believers
godly standards.
Believers who are CHRIST
faithful , will be deprived, of
privilege , will be radicle,
they will experience grieves
as seeing godliness rejected
by majority, we should
come prepared to be
persecuted, it should be
considered as one of the
proper qualification as a
believer, we must be willing
to bear persecution and
resolve not to shrink from
our duty in order to avoid
it.
If as believer we are
persecuted, we should
carefully inquire, before we
avail ourselves of this 26
consolation, whether we
are persecuted because we
live godly in CHRIST JESUS
or for some other criminal
reason., believers will suffer
persecution he cannot
escape ,because they are
not of the world, they do
not live like the world lives,
they are called out of the
world, but are not of the
world, they are in the world
but not of the world, they
are separated from the
behavior of the world, that
is why the world reacts
against them by ridicules
and mockery, by verbal and
physical abuse, and by
discrimination , the
believers suffer persecution
because they live and
demonstrate a life of
righteousness and they do
not compromise with the
world and its sinful
behavior, they live pure and
godly lives having nothing to
do with sinful pleasures of a
corrupt world

TEACHING US THAT
DENYING UNGODLINESS
GOD’S grace teaches us
how to live, GOD’S grace,
the LORD JESUS CHRIST,
teaches us to deny
ungodliness and worldly
lusts or passions, ,
ungodliness is anti -GOD not
like GOD, not Holy,
righteous or pure: anything
that does not honor GOD by
word or deed, that does not
show reverence and
worship toward GOD, any
thing that does not obey
GOD, that violets GOD’S
commandments and goes

like would want to be
treated, if they are needy,
poor, destitute, hungry,
diseased, lonely, bed-ridden
and sinful, we are to do
right towards them and
meet their needs, they are
to receive their due share
on earth just as we are.

12)Beloved, think it not
strange concerning the fiery
trial which is to try you, as
though some strange things
happened unto you
13)But rejoice, inasmuch as
ye are partakers of CHRIST’S
sufferings; that, when his
glory shall be revealed, ye
may be glad also with
exceeding joy
14)If ye be reproached for
the name of CHRIST,, happy
are ye; for the Spirit of glory
and of GOD resteth upon
you; on their part he is evil
spoken of, but on your part
he is gloried
BELOVED THINK IT NOT
STRANGE CONCERNING
THE FIERY TRIAL:
Believers should not be
surprised that they are
persecuted, do not consider
it as anything which you had
no reason to expect as
anything which may happen
to others, believers do not
understand why they have
to suffer, when they suffer
they are surprised and
astonished , and wonder
why GOD does not protect
them from suffering and
from persecution, believer
in this ungodly world,
controlled by Satan that
oppose to the Gospel, will
experience trails and
persecution, those who are
committed to JESUS with a
devoted and loyal faith, who
live by the Spirit and love
the truth of the Gospel will
experience trouble and
suffering for righteousness
sake is an evidence of the
realness of your devotion
to CHRIST, through painful
trials GOD allows you to
share in HIS suffering and
form within you the quality
of character He desires, yet
when you suffer and remain
faithful to CHRIST, you will
be considered blessed, for
the Spirit of glory rested
upon you.
Persecution measures how
strong our faith is, any 29
persons faith can be
measured by how much he
is willing to sacrifice and
bear for it, suffering for,
persecution for CHRIST
shows how strong or weak
our faith really is,
persecution proves our trust
in GOD and teaches us to
depend on GOD more and
more, the more we suffer
for CHRIST the more we
draw near GOD and plead
for his strength and help,
persecution proves and
strengthen our patience and
endurance, the more we are
tried and persecuted the
more we endure,
persecution strengthens our
patience
REJOICE IN AS MUCH AS
YOU PARTAKE OF CHRIST
SUFFERING
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye
are partaker of CHRIST
CHRIST’S suffering, that is
suffering for the same kind
that he endured, and
inflicted for the same
reason, believers should
regard it as matter of
rejoicing that they are
identified with CHRIST even
in suffering, though they
were partakers of the
benefit and blessing which
come through them, and
result from them, when we
suffer, we are sharing in
CHRIST’S sufferings, CHRIST
was rejected by men
because he lived and
proclaimed the
righteousness and salvation
of GOD, therefore when we
suffer for following CHRIST

for living and proclaiming
righteousness and salvation
of GOD, we are suffering for
the same reason CHRIST
suffered, we are sharing on
the very suffering of CHRIST,
we are denying ourselves
and suffering for GOD and
His righteousness just as
CHRIST did, we as believers
becomes identified with
CHRIST, associates with in
the deepest devotion
possible, the very sacrifice
of ourselves for the cause of
GOD and the glorious
salvation, no better or
greater privilege could be
given to a person than to
become so devoted to GOD
that he would join CHRIST in
the sacrifice of himself to
GOD
THAT WHEN HIS GLORY
SHALL BE REVEALED
The glory of his Divine
nature, as the only begotten
SON of GOD, in which he
will come and appear at the
last day, when we suffer, we
shall be greatly rewarded
when CHRIST returns in
glory
IF YOU ARE REPROACHED
FOR CHRIST
Reproached and cruel
mocking were always part
of the suffering, when a
believes suffers for CHRIST,
the Spirit of glory and of
GOD rests on him, he is
given special closeness and
oneness, with CHRIST that is
beyond imagination and
unexplainable , the Holy
Spirit infuses in him with a
deep, intense consciousness
of the LORD’S presence, in
suffering for CHRIST , the
believer also experiences a
very special identification
with CHRIST, an
identification that stirs a
sense of happiness and joy
within him
