REPENTANCE
JESUS CHRIST PREACH
REPENTANCE:
TO , change one’s mind, to
turn one’s life, to turn away
from sin and turning toward
GOD.
It is a forsaking of SIN; it is
putting out ones
thoughts and behavior
Is is turning away from:
Lying, stealing, cheating,
immorality, cursing,
drunkenness, hoarding,
murder, injustice, and other
vice so-glaring sins of the
flesh (sinful nature)
But the change is also
turning away silent sins of
the spirit such as self
centeredness, selfishness,
envy, bitterness, pride,
covetousness, anger, evil
though, hopelessness,
laziness, jealousy and lust
REPENTANCE:
Involves turning away
completely from sin and
turning to GOD

JESUS MISSION:
The savior who saved the
sinner or mission to save,
that JESUS came the for
sinful friends who are
spiritually sick and they that
needs the mercy of GOD who
believed they need a savior
and JESUS CHRIST come the

JESUS CHRIST warned the
the religionist, legalist and
self-righteous who think they
are more acceptable to GOD
than others:

Spiritually sick are, he came
to earth for the same
purpose that a physician
enter a home: to help the
sick, However, just like the
physician, he can minister
only to the sick who call him
to come into their homes to
heal them
CALL SINNER TO
REPENTANCE :
JESUS warned that he came
to HAVE MERCY and not to
lead people to make
sacrifice, what he want is not
the sacrifice of the righteous,
but the life of those who
needs his Mercy.
Sacrifice offered in religious
worship/church are not what
he came for.
He came to show and bestow
mercy upon sinners- that is
any person who knows that
he is a sinner and desires the
mercy and acceptance of
GOD
*JESUS warned that he came
to call sinners to repentance,
if a perosn does not know
that he needs
changing(REPENTANCE),
*JESUS cannot help him, but
if he knows he is a sinner and
wants to be changed , JESUS
can lead him to
repentance(TO CHANGE)
JESUS came to have mercy,
*Many are walking about
with the fatal disease of SIN,
but not seek the cure and
refuse to ask the physician
(JESUS) for help
But there are:
v Ignoring it
v Feeding it
v Abusing it
v Neglecting it
v Denying it
*JESUS call is to mercy, not
sacrifice, a person can make
sacrifice after sacrifice and
gift after gift and still not
please GOD, what GOD
wants first of all is a person’s
life, GOD wants to cleans the
person, making him
acceptable for heaven.

JESUS IDENTIFICATION OF
THE TWO SON:
GOD THE OWNER OF THE
VINEYARD AND THE
KINGDOM
JESUS identified the man
and two son in the parable:
a-The man who owned the
vineyard was GOD, GOD is
the person who posses the
kingdom
THE FIRST SON
b-The First Son represents
the non-religious and wordly
of this earth, these do not
belong to any religion, and
they do not know they are
lost.
They desire to go their own
way, wanting nothing to do
with GOD, the tax collectors
represent the rejected and
wordly minded, those more
interested in money and in
the things of this world than
GOD
The prostitute(harlot)
represented the immoral
and sensual, those more
interested in pleasure than
GOD
THE SECOND
The second son represents
the religionist of this earth,
the self- righteous and those
who make a false Teaching,
doctrine, these either reared
in the church from earliest
childhood or else came to
church sometime later in life.
They believe religion and
righteousness to the way a
person should live
JESUS IDENTIFIED KINGDOM
WORK TO BE DONE
JESUS identified the vineyard
and the work to be done.
The vineyard is the kingdom
of GOD and the work is
entering the kingdom of
GOD- serve GOD within his
kingdom:
Both son(all men) receive the
same command and
obligation: Go into the vine
yard.
GOD respect both son, he
dose not force either of them
to work, neither the son who
rebels nor the son who make
a commitment but fails to
work in GOD’S vineyard, the
son will is either to honor or
not
JESUS SAID WITH STRONG
TERMS
Sinners are entering the
kingdom of GOD ahead
before you religionist who
profess self-righteousness
and false religion and false
teachings.
It is important to pay close
attention on JESUS word, he
said, ahead of the religionist,
he was not shouting his door
to the religionist, they could
not enter the kingdom in
their present state
JESUS DECLARATION OF
RELIGION
JESUS shocked this audience,
he declared that man”s idea
of religion is wrong, religion
and righteousness are not
enough to enter GOD’s
kingdom, it takes more,
religion is not enough,
worshipping service,
ceremonies, rituals , laws
regulation, good works and
commitment is not enough,
which was shocking to the
religionist and righteous:
sinners are entering the
kingdom ahead of you what
you have is not enough.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD
The reason sinners enter
GOD’s kingdom and
religionist don’t , religionist
do not believe Johns’
message that JESUS of
Repentance
But sinner, tax collector and
prostitute believe John
message
REPENTANCE
The first son did expertly
What John the Baptist said to
do: he REPENTED of his loose
life and believed that JESUS
was the son of GOD
JESUS MESSAGE TO THE
RELIGIONIST
JESUS said John was
righteous, John came to
show you the way of
righteousness, the very
righteousness that religionist
say in necessary to live for
GOD, John was GODLY and
lived just like religionist, but
they did not believe John of
his ministry and witness- that
JESUS CHRIST was the
Messiah the SON of GOD
They reject counsel of GOD,
they do not go and work in
his vine yard

certain man had two sons;
and he came to the first, and
said, son, go work today in
my vineyard

will not; but afterward he
repented, and went
30)And he came to the
second, and said likewise,
and he answered and said, I
go, sir; and went not
31)Whether of them twain
did the will of his father?
They say unto him, the first.
JESUS saith unto them, verily
I say unto you, that the
publicans and the harlots go
into the kingdom of GOD

32) For John came unto you
in the way of righteousness ,
and ye believed him not; but
the publicans and the harlots
believed him and ye, when ye
had seen it repented not
afterward, that ye might
believe him

REPENTANCE AND BELIEF
THE PARABLE OF THE TWO
SONS: exposes Hypocrisy of
religious leaders and the
word of GOD.
*What does it take to enter
GOD’S kingdom profession of
righteousness is not enough,
but repentance and belief?
The point: sinner enter the
kingdom before religionist
(the self-righteous and to
those who make false
profession,
THIS ILLUSTRATION:
The two sons intend by our
LORD to represent the
conduct of publicans, harlot
and sinners and the
religionist self righteous as a
vindication of John the
Baptist Ministry, and a
vindication of the true GOD
in general.
Sinners who first rejects truth
and then repents and do the
will of GOD(represents the
FIRST SON)
I WILL NOT GO REPRESENT
THE IMMORAL,
DISOBEDIENCE, OF THE
PUBLICAN AND HARLOT
WHO LATER REPENTED
UNDER JOHN AND JESUS
PREACHING
The first disrespectful and
rebellion., it was the refusal
of a son who wished to go his
own way in life, who rebelled
at being told what to do, he
was selfish, worldly, carnal,
fleshly, materialistic, and
prideful, he will have his way
have his own ways and do his
own things,
However that the first later
changed his mind and
CHANGE(REPENTED) turn
away his self-chosen lie of
rebellion and worldliness
turn back to his FATHER and
went into his FATHER’s
vineyard to work, he did
exactly what his FATHER
commanded him to do
THE SECOND SON
The hypocrites, the self
righteous Pharisees who
promised GOD all and did
nothing for him (present the
second sons)
I WILL GO REPRESENT
PROMISED TO GO BUT DID
NOT FOLLOW THROUGH THE
OBEDIENCE BY ONLY
OBSERVING EXTERNAL RITE,
CEREMONIES, RULES
PROGRAMS OF RELIGION,
BUT OPPOSE REALLY TO THE
KINGDOM OF GOD
I will sir, indicates that he
will go immediately and
serve Zealously in his FATHER
work, but he failed he never
did go to work, he went to
work but not for the
father,he never went to his
FATHER vineyard, living and
working for himself day by
day with his own work
disregarding the FATHER
entirely, which is life of
religion and moral strictness
JESUS CHRIST asked the
question to the religionist
standing around which of the
two did the fathers will, the
religionist did not see the
point of the parable, ye they
gave so obvious answer:
The first son did the
FATHER’s will, the religionist
demonstrated just how much
religion and self
righteousness can blind a
person, giving false sense of
false security, a person,
clergyman and layman alike,
who sincerely live a life of
religion and moral purity has
great difficulty understanding
why he is not acceptable to
GOD and cannot enter the
kingdom of heaven.
SALVATION
JESUS gave the point: sinners
enter the kingdom before
religionist because they did
not believe in the John
Message that JESUS CHRIST is
the Messiah, the SON of GOD
who will sacrifice himself for
the sins of the word
REPENTANCE
John’s witness is the
standard by which JESUS is
measuring religionist, it is not
enough and righteous, that
is, a good, moral, outstanding
citizen, a persons has done,
He has to repent for not
going to GOD’s vineyard or
GOD kingdom
The religionist created there
own vineyard of religion and
righteousness, but his
vineyard was not GOD’s
vineyard is the vineyard of
religion and righteousness,
but the vineyard not GOD
vineyard
The believer has to believe
in GOD’S SON, JESUS Christ,
he has to enter the vineyard
of FAITH, and he has to work
within the vineyard of faith.

REPENT YE AND BELIEVE
THE GOSPEL
The good news of GOD
declares that a person must
repent and believe the good
new of GOD, Both repent and
believe are essential
Repent from worldly pomp
and splendor, outward
observance in legal rites and
ceremonies and exercise
sorrow for sins, and turn
from them and believe.
Preaching the gospel of the
kingdom of GOD: the good
news and glad tidings of the
kingdom of Messiah
Turn from your wickedness
of your ways, and believe
the Gospel
